What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Unprofessional customer service does not know how to schedule properly.
I should have known this would have been a complete waste of time trying to schedule someone from Best Buy to calibrate my $5,000 ELITE PRO60X5FD. After reading all the reviews on home theater forums, the general consensus shows that anybody serious about home theater should never trust a Best Buy employee in their house. Review after review explains about the tardiness of their staff and sometimes staff never fulfilling their appointments. I'm a premiere silver member so this service would have been free, but I'd rather now spend $400 to have a real professional calibrate my HDTV to ISF standards. Appointment was scheduled for Saturday the 14th with a 4 hour window. I stayed home for these 4 hours, and no agent shows up. I called customer service and not only did they schedule the order incorrectly, they put it under the wrong email address. The agent that confirmed "This Saturday the 14th" actually put my order in for NEXT Saturday the 21st. Don't waste your time dealing with Best Buy. Do it right the first time and get a real professional company to do your calibration. Lesson learned...

How soon after buying a brand new tv should you have it calibrated?

I believe the minimum is 100 hours. But I would use the television a little longer and then get it calibrated.
