What's great about it: Dual Band 4G and 5G. Also, ability to set guest on WiFi
What's not so great: ventilation could be a little better
I loved my Actiontech units until they got old and could not update the firmware. So upgraded to the latest actiontech and had issues like wifi signal strength, internet cutting out. overheating and this was after i updated the firmware. Returned two of them. So i saw this one and granted it is a little pricey for me, I got this one and have had no issues since i got this past January. I like the options on this modem like dual band 4g and 5g. its got on/off switch USB port and other options that i can write about. Anyway, I would recommend this model to people who have ATT DSL service, cause for some reason the actiontech stop working for me and i have had ATT for 3 years now. I guess it is hit and miss now a days
This product has... Fast connection, Secure connection, Easy to set up, Reliable connection, Easily expanded, Dual band
About me... home it tech for over 20 years
I would recommend this to a friend!
I use it in...:Small home

why it wont work with cable modem

i bought this router/modem cause it said on the box it was dsl and could be used with a cable modem. and now that i have cable i also got the cable internet and this unit will not work with the cable modem why
Cable and DSL are totally different technologies. If you have cable internet you need a cable modem. DSL internet needs a DSL modem

Cable

Iam renting a modem with TimeWarner and want to
purchase this so I can have a modem and wireless router for my new laptop. Will this be compatible?
Make sure your carrier is either cable internet or dsl internet. I think Time/Warner is cable so re search under Cable modems. you'll find what you need there
