Originally having a bad experience back in the 90’s with Epson printers, I was always an HP fan and only purchased HP printers. Unfortunately, every single HP printer I’ve owned during the last 8 years has broken down prematurely or suffered from unrepairable print quality degradation. I was offered an opportunity to beta test an Epson WF4730, and I’m very impressed! It took me about 15 minutes to take it out of the box, set it up on my network, and download / install the latest firmware.
My first order of business was to connect it to my wireless network and configure scanning to email, a feature I heavily rely on. I was happy to notice a feature that my old printer didn’t have; the ability to create contact groups so I can scan and send documents to multiple people at once rather than having to select each contact one at a time like I had to on my old HP printer; this is a huge time-saver. There is a bug when back-spacing and correcting names as you create contacts which threw me off, that needs to be fixed so minus one star for that. If/when that gets fixed, I’ll update my review and rating.
My next step was to try printing documents from my cell, a task which wasn’t as easy as it should have been with my last printer. The Epson WF4730 makes this task very simple, I was able to print directly from my Galaxy S8 Plus just by tapping it against the printer. My phone immediately detected the printer, downloaded the necessary drivers, and I printed a color photo from my album on regular paper.
I couldn’t believe how quickly the printer was able to print a full-page color photo! The speed is blazing on this thing, it only took a few seconds with bright and vivid colors. I didn’t realize how bad the quality was of the printouts from my previous printer until I saw printouts from this one.
As a professional IT engineer, I appreciate the configurability of this printer. It requires only a quick basic setup for the average person to start using all the features, but allows a very granular advanced configuration for those who desire it or have advanced needs.
Configuring and using faxing is a breeze, it’s nice to know I have the ability when the rare occasion arrives when I’ll need it; it isn’t often but it does happen.
Aesthetically, this printer looks nice and modern, and feels solid. It has two paper trays which is great if you want to store two different types or sizes of paper, and the default tray options are easily configurable. Having the built-in duplexer is huge, as I prefer to print on both sides of the paper to save paper wherever possible.
Overall, I’m very happy with the quality, speed, and color accuracy of this printer. The only issue I had with my testing is the one bug concerning the entering of names into the address book and using the backspace key to correct mistakes, other than that I can’t find one single flaw. It’s easy to use, set up, and even my wife has no problems using it.
This is a review for the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4730 All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm an IT engineer and a gadget guy, so for me to have a hard time with this should tell you something. Out of the box the large thumbscrew had a hairline fracture in it that when tightened to keep the camera from pointing down cracked the top of the thumb screw off. I wasted an hour on the phone with tech support just for them to tell me to bring it back to best buy. I went on with the config process to see how it worked, D-Link's website suggested I download the iPhone app and set it up that way. You're supposed to connect the camera via Ethernet first, then during the setup configure it to your wireless network. The iPhone app only allows you to choose WEP or WPA for your network security type, I use WPA/PSK w/ AES encryption so I couldn't configure my camera this way.. I would up finding the web interface similar to D-Link routers and configured it that way since you can select WPA/PSK there. I got it online and working, but after a few minutes it would become unresponsive. I had to factory erase and re-add it 4 times, each time it would work for a few minutes then just become unresponsive again. I give up.. It's in the box and going back to best buy. I'll try a Belkin next since this one is garbage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Full Windows 8.1, NOT RT, bright colorful screen, includes Office 2013 Home/Student
What's not so great: Mcafee Antivirus trial useless, small screen, barely any free memory
I purchased two of these, one for myself and one for my girlfriend. For the sale price that I paid, this is an amazing deal. It's a full Windows PC running Windows 8.1, not RT as Best Buy's product info incorrectly states. The fact that I'm holding a full blown windows PC in my hand is just amazing. It's more useful than an iPad since it runs all Windows applications, though obviously you're not going to want to play games on here. It does let you browse flash websites, but keep in mind this tablet is just as susceptible to viruses as any regular Windows PC.
I read reviews on other websites which indicated this came with McAfee antivirus, however I was disappointed to find out it was only a 30 day trial. I was even more disappointed that the trial is worthless. The tablet comes set with the wrong date/time (January 2013) and I wasn't presented with an option to check or fix this during setup. When I corrected the date/time, Mcafee Antivirus thought a year elapsed since it was first used and immediately expired my trial! Not happy. I uninstalled it and installed Avast Free which works just as fine and has excellent reviews.
The Good:
Runs standard Windows Applications
Familiar Windows interface
You can buy an adapter cable and use external USB devices, I tried a mouse and it worked perfectly.
The Bad:
Screen is so small, it's difficult to click on menu options and easy to click the wrong thing
There's only 8GB free, once you install Office and Antivirus you're down to 6GB free.
No external video output connector.
There's no way to zoom in on the desktop, I wish there was.
Windows 8.1. This is more of a Microsoft thing.. I'm an IT guy.. and the whole Windows 8.1 Metro interface is just confusing and unnecessary, even for me. I can't imagine how it is for new users.
If you're a power user that uses keyboard shortcuts such as WIndows-X, or Alt-F4, you're going to feel helpless. The default keyboard doesn't have an Alt key on it. If you dig deep enough you can enable the standard keyboard which will make you feel at home.
Suggestions:
If you buy this, you really should buy:
1. A 32GB or 64GB Micro-SD Card
2. Micro USB to regular USB adapter or Y Cable to allow simultaneous charging and use of standard USB peripherals
There is no case included, I've read that there really isn't a selection of cases or styli available for this unit, but everything I have read says to stay away from Lenovo's case/stylus combo. I'm still looking..
For the regular price, I'm not sure I'd buy this unit.. but for the sale price, it's a no brainer.
This product is... responsive touch screen, Good sound quality, easy to set up, A nice compact size, Sharp graphics, Easy to navigate, Comfortable to hold
About me... Budget Conscious, Technology guru, Business Professional
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can the RAM be upgraded?

2GB ram on Win 8.1 seems low. Can the RAM be upgraded to 4GB?
There is no way to increase the internal memory on the device.
