What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Unable to expand memory
Bought myself my own Christmas present-- the Google Nexus 7 2013 edition pre-Black Friday at a great sale price including a $25 Google Play credit. It is a great tablet, highly reviewed. I haven't had any problems-- it upgraded to KitKat right after I took it out of the box. I have tried reading books using the Kindle app-- which works fine. I can access my e-mail and Facebook, just like on my phone. I even play some games on it, plus I have watched a basketball game on it using the ESPN app. lots of free apps and music available. Battery life is good, I rarely have to recharge it, unless I do some heavy duty usage. The back camera is ok, but I have a good digital camera to use, so the 5MP is ok. The only drawback is that you can't use a microSD card to expand the memory, but you can't for iPads either-- and I was well aware of this fact when I bought this tablet. My Mom has the previous version, and is happy with it.

What's great about it: Lot's of kewl features, compares well to iPhone
What's not so great: Relatively short battery life
The Samsung Galaxy SIII is a nice phone. A great competitor to the iPhone, with it's own version of Siri. Navigation is still the best. Love being able to take a picture by saying 'Cheese' or "Shoot", etc

Mac Mail on Samsung Galaxy III

I use Apple's mail. Can I get my mail through an Android phone? Can I do this through iCloud?
Yes. I have an iMac and get my mail on my phone as well. You just have to put in the information for your e-mail provider and it doesn't care which OS you are using.
