okay, I took out all of my review because it kept telling me I am using inappropriate language. There was not one word that was "Inappropriate" unless Best Buys just doesn't allow bad reviews of a product. This product is BAD. Cheap plastic mount that has to be glued to the windshield. No suction mount included. Also besides the Car charger there is no other way to charge the unit since they didn't include a charger or even a cable to plug into the unit so you can charge it from your computer or phone charger. It takes a Mini (Not Micro) USB cable in order to charge it. Anyway, I am taking this unit back to Best Buys. It just feels cheap and at this price point it should have at least had a decent mount and a charger included.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Great Beginner DSLR, Easy to use.
What's not so great: Older NON-VR Kit lenses originally designed for the D40
The Camera itself is a great starter DSLR camera that has lots of options for getting to know how to shoot in manual mode rather than the point and shoot Automatic mode. Average performance in Low Light especially with the inferior kit lenses.
If you purchase this kit with just the single lens you will receive the upgraded 18-55mm VR (Vibration reduction) lens. For some reason if you buy this camera with the 2 lens kit you only get the older style lenses without VR/Vibration reduction. You can probably make due without the VR on the 18-55mm lens but at the longer focal length lens 55-200mm the lens is almost unusable without a tripod. Personally I would stay away from the 2 lens kit. Get the Body only and purchase a decent lens like the 18-140mm Nikon VR lens. It's a decent all around lens and is light years ahead of the lousy kit lenses included in this kit.

Will the lenses from my D100 & the SB-50DX flash work with this camera?

I have the 18-35mm ED IF and the 70-300mm ED Nikon lenses and a Nikon SB-50DX flash.
Yes, the lenses will work fine. They don't have VR (Vibration reduction) built in like the newer lenses but they will work with the D3300 in Manual and Auto Focus mode. With the 70-300mm lens I would recommend a tripod. The Speed Flash SB-50DX will also work with the D3300. Manual and Rear Curtain mode.

How does the wifi work?

Do you have to buy an adapter to be able to email pictures to yourself?
Yes, this camera does not have built in WiFi. There is an adapter you can purchase for around $49 or less. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/nikon-wu-1a-wireless-mobile-adapter/5471037.p?id=1218651509902&skuId=5471037

Can you upgrade the RAM?

I've looked over the laptop and there isn't a door to upgrade the RAM on the bottom as most laptops have. Would it be voiding the warranty to take the back panel off to upgrade it? It says in the description and specs that it's expandable to 16 GB, but what's the point in saying that if you have to void the warranty just to do so.
Just upgrading your memory should not void your warranty if the upgrade is performed by a IT Certified Professional. If you upgrade it yourself and you somehow give it a static discharge you could be voiding the warranty. I don't see a point of upgrading the memory unless you are a Graphic Designer or are doing Auto Cad on this laptop since 8 GB of memory should be plenty for everyday computing and beyond. Unlike the old days where upgrading from 2 to 4 gb of Ram would significantly speed up your system. Not so in this case. You would be better off to upgrading your Hard drive to a SSD drive since it is the slowest part of this laptop.
