Loved this when I picked it up last week. It's so diverse. Use with or without the folio cover. One caveat, maybe...just yesterday I couldn't find my home WiFi on my S6. Then again today...it's finding it and then losing any WiFi connections in my neighborhood, at businesses, etc. I took the entire cover off the phone because I'm guessing (although I might be wrong) that the magnet may be what has caused my phone to no longer connect to WiFi. More research on my part is on the way but it's not my WiFi because all other devices are able to successfully connect.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Minimalist but Bubbles

I have the Galaxy S6 in gold so I wanted to show it off instead of keeping it covered with a different colored case. I bought the clear view hoping it would show my phone through but instead it leaves bubbles (or what appears to be bubbles) on the back. So, I returned this. Probably it's fine if you buy the colored ones but I wouldn't suggest the clear one if you're hoping to be able to see what a nice phone you have.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don't get me wrong, I am perhaps one of the biggest Samsung fans out there. Have had a Samsung phone since the beginning and TV's, printers, cameras, soundbar, etc. You name it, we probably have it in our home. I REALLY want to love this watch but I can't. While it's great for quick checking texts and simple set replies and simple email checks, it's not designed for deleting emails, responding to emails or responding to a text any lengthy response. Your response is set to the standard responses that are preset or you can change them in the app. So, while I'm out for a run, I can quickly respond, YES, NO, TALK TO YOU LATER!, OK, I'll call you, etc. Don't expect much in that way. Now I loved the idea of this as a fitness watch because it has bicycling, running and walking. The Fitbit was only tracking my steps and as someone who enjoys outdoor running, bicycling, swimming, etc. it was not meant for someone like me. This Gear Fit will keep track of the following information while running, walking and bicycling: number of minutes, miles, calories burned, average speed, maximum speed, average pace, maximum pace, average heart rate,and maximum heart rate. Sounds awesome, right? Not so much. Most of the time, the distance is off by .5 to over 1 mile (I have checked this by car AND using a very reliable app on my phone...Runtastic). The number of calories is always miscalculated by either being entirely too few calories burned (ie. 8 miles run, burned 15 kcal) or half of what my Polar heart rate monitor gives me. It's not even close. I'll save you time from reading more details by just saying that all of those calculations for any of the exercises (running, cycling and walking) are never even close to accurate. Samsung has some work to do with SHealth also. The software is horrible and you can't even check it on a website so you use your compatible Samsung phone or tablet to look at the limited information. You have 3 months worth of information (not accurate anyway) and BAM! one day it all disappears because there is no way to back it up. So, while I would LOVE to love this gadget that appears to be very cool, I can't give it more than 3 stars. Samsung, if you release a product, don't send it out incomplete. This is incomplete and not well thought out. IF you only want this to give you notifications during meetings so you don't have to rudely pick up your phone, or you want to quickly respond to a text, or you want to check the time, or your heart rate, then this is the gadget for you. If you want to do more with it and have higher expectations I recommend you look into something else. I bet the Gear S is closer to what I want but for me to pay $10 extra per month through a wireless carrier, Samsung has to work much harder on the SHealth app. That watch would be perfect for a runner who wants everything packaged in a watch Dick Tracy style that works almost completely independently of the phone.

What's great about it: Doesn't overheat.
What's not so great: Not sure yet.
We had 4 file cabinets filled with papers that I needed to shred and our old shredder died. This one had good reviews and so far, so good. I didn't rate it well on reliability because I haven't had it long enough to detemine that. Our old Royal shredder would overheat after about 10 minutes of heavy use. This one just keeps going without overheating. I was able to shred hundreds of papers, if not thousands, and wound up with three medium bags filled with shredded papers . It didn't fail me once.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Yes, and yes. One setback to many laptops, especially this one, is that they are limited with upgrade options. This laptop, in particular cannot be upgraded with more memory.

I need a samsung device just to set it at the beginning, after that you normally use without a samsung device ??
No, you need to have a compatible Samsung phone.

Can my gear fit sync with My fitnesess Pal ?
Can my gear fit sync with My fitnesess Pal 1? Just bought the gear fit and I have Samsung 4s, is there an app to sync them?
I have all three and no, it does NOT sync with MFP. There is no app that it syncs with other than SHealth which is subpar. So many better apps out there (Runtastic for one) that this Gear Fit has been pretty useless when it comes to a fitness watch. I have had it for 4 months and am a great fan of Samsung products but this falls short of what I expected. It's almost as if it's a BETA product.

Can you go swimming with Gear Fit?
I would like to know if this product is really water resistant and if anyone use it for swimming.
You can but it's not going to track that exercise.

Does display show distance ran and time?
Does the display show distance ran and time? I am a runner and need to be able to monitor my time and distance.
Look for something else. I have used this for 4 months and am a runner and it's not accurate at all. Use of a running app is much more accurate (Runtastic, MapMyRun, etc.) This watch is always off by .5 to more than a mile. I run on average 20-25 miles per week.

Does it display the mileage, pace per mile, and total time?
It does but it's NEVER accurate. I have had it for 4 months and would not recommend for a fitness watch. The mileage is very far off....usually by .5 to more than 1 mile and the calories burned based on the HR monitor is never right so I use a Polar HR chest monitor...the best way to accurately monitor heart rate zones. Pace is off although total time is the only thing accurate.

Will this Sync with the S5 Active ? I know that The S5 Active has these features built in but would like to have access without carrying my Phone
