What's great about it: Ability to stream Netflix and other online streaming services to TV's
What's not so great: Only PC's can stream via chrome browser
For the price, this is an amazing streaming device for netflix and such. I purchased it as a gift for the Inlaws so they could use it for netflix and Amazon Prime as they had issues with set top box interfaces but liked their tablets. Very easy and fast streaming of supported applications. I had thought however that it would stream any Chrome browser window on Andriod tablets, however this is not the case for anything but PC/Mac platform. Streaming performance from PC chrome browser was acceptable but not fast, using multiple new laptops and two different high end routers, but netflix was very smooth when cast. Overall, I would recommend this device, great for the price, just make sure of what you want to use it for.

What's great about it: All in one liquid system
What's not so great: So so performance vs decent air setups
Purchased this for a friend to help them out as they had a small case and room by the CPU was limited for installing a good airflow block.
The installation instructions were fair, not great. My friend tried doing it herself and had issues so I stepped in and helped out. I have used corsair hydro coolers many times for customer builds and this model just seemed lacking. Its thermal dissipation is quite a bit below higher end air coolers like the Thermaltake Ultra 120, but if you are very tight on space as some cases are, this makes for the best of limited options.

What's great about it: Backlighting is handy, low weight, protects screen

Purchased to go with a Surface Pro 2.
Had previously used the Type Cover version 1, they changed a few things with the second version of this.
The trackpad was changed to have a sort of "cloth" texture over all of it now instead of the plastic and buttons for the left/right mouse. While some might like this change, I find it much harder to locate the buttons now as there is no physical indicator that you are in the button area and they are harder to depress or register a click. Granted its a touchscreen device, but the trackpad is needed at times and having to constantly fight to find the area to right click and extra pressure needed to get it to register is a setback.
The backlighting addition to the keyboard however was a very welcome change and has no noticeable impact on the battery life.
The very slight decrease in the thickness of the keyboard vs the gen 1 has had very little impact on typing feel and accuracy as some have complained of due to the small key travel distance. I find the new keyboard quieter which is very nice when in meetings and taking notes or replying to emails without disturbing coworkers.

What's great about it: Price per GB is good, storage performance is pretty good for its price point

Bought this to replace an agility 3 SSD in a friends computer as a gift. The price of the drive was very reasonable, the new EVO revision of the 840 series is a good improvement in read write speeds versus the first generation, but still notably slower in benchmarks than the 840 Pro series, but unless you are out for pure speed this is the drive to get.
As a suggestion to people who do the upgrade to an SSD by cloning their regular mechanical drives to an SSD, run the windows performance index (WINSAT) on their system so that it recognizes that an SSD is in the system now instead of the old drive. There are a number of things windows will do then to optimize itself for an SSD like disabling defrag to prevent harmful effects on the SSD.

What's great about it: Portability, Battery life
What's not so great: Price is a little high for the 256gb model, but thats about the only complaint
I work in a enterprise datacenter environment as a network engineer. This device is amazingly handy for troubleshooting due to its portability and running a full OS. I also enjoy it at home for very light gaming, reading in bed, and web browsing around the house. Definite improvement over the gen1 model due to battery issues.

Does your current stock include the upgraded i5 processor (i5-4300U)?
Their stock does have the new u4300 processor, however you have to check the lot numbers to make sure you have a new enough unit. Lot 1351 and above seem to have the new CPU's for sure, 50/50 shot for lot 1350, and no chance below that number.
Just keep in mind that the new 4300 CPU gives no real world performance increase overall for normal useage, and power consumption is slightly higher resulting in less battery life.
