What's great about it: Large, clear screen; lifetime maps
What's not so great: Only one computer voice available for spoken street names
This is my third TomTom unit. I have an XL330 and an XL330S, and have had fine service from both units. The Via 1605 appeared like a good value at first, but after purchasing I found that there is only one computer voice available for the unit. Even my outdated XL330S had several free computer voices available, but from the research I've done, it appears that TomTom is offering no support for this issue, and it seems lots of people have complained. It's no bargain at all to offer spoken street names as a selling point for the product, and then limit the feature by providing only a single female voice to support it. A larger screen is no substitute for my old XL330S, and I feel I've wasted my money purchasing this new unit, even at a sale price.

Where do I get a manual?

I need a manual, where can I obtain one? Brisbane, Australia. Thanks :)
The only one available is downloaded from the website. Seems hardly anyone provides printed manuals any more. You can print it yourself of course, but that's kind of a pain.

Where do I install the sd card on the TomTom VIA 1605TM

Flip open the small cover on the bottom of the unit to expose the SD slot.
