I work with 6 guys with all various phones and companies the only phone that get a signal in the places we go is a Motorola on Verizon. Look for one with a external antenna. I use to have a old Moto E-815 and now the droid X. Other phones on Verizon and AT&T phones wont even cover past the treeline. One day I called a 911 operator after a guy fell from a cliff and everyone standing around said there is no signal. Jaws dropped on the ground when the Moto E-815 connected. You also might not get coverage in your area at all but best phones I've seen are from Motorola.
