What's great about it: Easy set up, sleek design
This unit will transform your tv sound, especially if your tv speakers are located under the screen. I bought this to complement my lg 50" tv. It has great sound and is more powerful than I expected. I leave the volume on 18 while watching most programs. I also like that I can hook up my phone via bluetooth and blast some tunes through the system. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a simple home theater system.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: Broken When I Got It
I open up the box and turn it on and this thing is loud as hell. Turns out that the scanner is getting snagged on the ribbon cable. I'll see how my replacement model does.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Will this LG 2.1 Channel Soundbar go with my LG 55LH40 TV?

I have a older model LG HD 55 in. TV & a LG Blu-Ray DVD player. Will this soundbar work with these?
Yes it should as long as these products have and optical input, which it should.
