I was looking for some audio for my garage tv and wasn't looking for a sound bar. Didn't want a receiver and more stuff in the garage but wanted a good sound for Sundays games and sports, casual tv viewing and surfing the web, and maybe some bluetooth connectivity while puttering in the garage. This thing is way overkill but on sale at half price I had to check it out.
I have a 40" LED wall mounted TV in the garage and have this mounted just below. COULD. NOT. BE. HAPPIER. The remote/wireless sub adds a nice bottom end and the 3 channel sound bar is just what the doctor ordered! Having a center channel is paramount to a good home theater and I can imagine this puppy doing a great job replacing a full blown 5.1 system in a pinch.
Out in the garage it is, again, way overkill. BUT...it sounds great. Want to pull your car out into the driveway and wash while listening to some tunes? It will anger the neighbors with ease (o: Or get them asking questions about your sound system...
Very happy with this purchase...

What's great about it: PQ is pretty good coming from a plasma
What's not so great: Could use a few more connections...
First off this is a 500 dollar LED TV in a 50" by a name brand manufacturer. Second it is meant to be "entry level". Third, see comment one and two.
Expecting to get great sound? Look elsewhere...as in a home theater receiver. Sound is weak but okay for a bedroom. Running this in a living room? Is it the main source of your home theater? Pony up and get real sound. Otherwise you are going to be disappointed with just about anything you buy regardless of price. Today's flat panels are made for the viewing experience, not the sound. Entry level? Forget about it.
Regarding the picture I'm more than satisfied for my expectations. A long time ago (in tv years) I had a 40" Samsung LCD I was not happy with and bought a plasma to set right next to it in my home to really compare. LCD was total garbage compared to the entry level plasma it sat beside. Day and night. Apples to oranges. LCD was promptly sold to someone less discerning...
Happy to report they've come a long way since then. You're not going to get the black levels of a plasma but you're not going to be disappointed either. No more weird pattern shifting on things as simple as panning. Movies like "DRED" are not going to be pretty. Granted I've only had the TV for a week but I've sampled a bunch of movies trying to get it dialed in. One group of settings is not going to cover every movie like a plasma. Maybe a higher end LED will come closer but that's not what this TV is...
I'm very satisfied with it and would recommend it...and just as an informational bit, nothing is going to get a five star rating from me unless it's free and absolutely phenomenal so four is pretty danged good coming from me (o:

This is a great little PC. If you've been using Windows 8 setup is a breeze. Pop in your info at initial start up and you are up and running with a familiar desktop and good to go. Only issue I had was using HDMI with older Samsung TV and lack of screen resolution settings, only two choices and neither was native to the TV. Hooked up the good old VGA cable, rebooted and set it to proper native resolution. Using HDMI out of the box did not hinder initial set up.
Purchased to be used in the garage (man cave) and do basic Microsoft Office things like excel and word when working from home as well as web browsing, YouTube, etc...Not built for extreme gaming and I could care less.
Small foot print is great! Clean front panel with hidden connections, Media Reader, DVD drive, etc... Included mouse and keyboard are welcome additions to help get things up and running. Very happy with purchase.
This product is... Perfect for Business, Inputs which I need, quiet, A nice compact size, Attractive design, easy to set up, Sharp graphics

What's great about it: Nothing...
What's not so great: Quality down the toilet...
This review comes from someone who has a 10 something year old version of these. The sub gave up the ghost awhile back, maybe a year ago, but the satellites still rocked. Decided I wanted to get some low end thump back and picked up another set last week.
Boy what a difference in quality of sound. The sub still brings it but the satellites just flat out suck. No amount of break in is going to alleviate the drop off in sound quality (though I'm going to give them a few more days before dealing with the after Christmas crowd). None. For folks that don't know what these used to bring to the table and find the sound adequate you don't know what you are missing. These puppies used to rock. In Point of fact my old sats make the new ones nothing more than desk top speakers that sound simply "ok". Again, you don't know what you are missing...
These used to be speakers that could get you into trouble with the neighbors (and my old ones still have that capacity). Very disappointed at this point. Really didn't want to go with a sub woofer but I "knew" I was going to get something familiar so I went for it. Not the case.
Some stuff sounds "okay" but it really doesn't even come close when making a direct comparison. I had to disconnect and reconnect several times to confirm...these sound horrible. Sorry folks, but they do. Maybe some others with previous experience have had better results but mine really just suck. Plain and simple. Not even two shades of white difference, this is black and white.
Kind of sad I had to write such a bad review...they used to be such a stellar product I would have fully endorsed and used to tell people about them all the time. I cannot recommend these at all other than "desktop" status. If that is all you are looking for then the price doesn't warrant the purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Ease of use...
What's not so great: They come loose...
Been using these for about 2 years. Switching out one receiver for another I've found ALL the connections have come loose. Not at the plug itself (they are tight) but they have unscrewed/loosened at the cable. Every one of them. No effect on performance but it could have become an issue unchecked. I don't know how many of you go poking around the back side of your receiver or speakers at any given interval but it's something to watch out for. Aside from that they transfer the signal, connect easily and work very well. I was perfectly happy with the old style spring loaded style of connector on the back of receivers and speakers. These satisfy something that wasn't needed in the first place. My Onkyo forced me to use these...and they work. Just wouldn't have gone this route otherwise...

What's not so great: Nothing thus far...
I've only had these a couple of days and finally got everything hooked up proper in my bedroom. Running a 5.1 surround setup and I've got to say...these things are worth every penny. I suppose there's a good reason these things are so reviewed and on the positive end as well. Listening in stereo with a sub and these being the only thing putting out the mids and uppers they sound great even without a good break in (that's what I'm doing right now). I have these puppies cranked and have listened to a few different genres and they excel at producing great sound. Audiophiles will find something to snivel about but that's their job (or their misery in life to be so darned picky). Mine is to enjoy well produced sound and be happy with it at an exceptionally low price. Loving these speakers right now...

Updated my "older" gaming rig to Windows 8.1 over the weekend and figured why not take advantage and or find out how a great big touch screen would be. In a word "Awesome"! I can see where die hard Windows users might not care to learn anything new but honestly, I liked it before I bought the touch screen and now I like it even more with a few tweaks here and there. Still playing around and I have to say this monitor is really quite nice. HD on Netflix actually looks pretty damned good compared with my previous Dell 21.5 that it replaced. The way this monitor adjusts angle works very well. Just position the back leg toward the back of your desk and slide the front leg forward. Folks complaining that it doesn't have "cable management" are just plain weird. So far I am loving this monitor for just about anything and don't see that opinion changing any time soon...

Does the motherboard have any slots for upgrading the sound card?
Open it up and find out...based on it's compact size I would guess not.
