I bought this to use with a circa 2006 iMac. Since the iMac doesn't have Bluetooth using the Logitech with universal transceiver was ideal. The trackpad is very functionally, but is very limited when it comes to multi-touch gestures (Using Lion for OS).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Is it compatible with MAC?

Yes. I use it with a 2006 iMac. Not all of the multitouch gestures will work, and it isn't not bluetooth.
