This unit sounds good until you put it next to a Harman Kardon Onyx speaker then the lack of depth is very apparent. The Onyx has much deeper bass and mids also fills the room with sound much better.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I can't believe the sound out of this thing. And the bluetooth is LONG. Probably 40 feet. Everyone that hears the speaker is impressed. At $150, it is a STEAL!!

Harman Kardon is a quality company. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I would recommend this to a friend!

how do you connect an ipod that does not transmit to this speaker

in addition to bluetooth, it takes an audio chord so you can connect any device including iPods.

will this work with a HP Chromebook?

doesn't matter the device, it uses bluetooth so if your chromebook has bluetooth then it shouldn't be an issue.

Will I need 2 units for a rich stereo sound?

I don't believe that you'll be able to hook up 2 speakers via bluetooth on your phone. Otherwise it would be really good. This is a complete stereo sound with one speaker - it will fill up the room with rich sound including decent bass.

My opinion, having two speakers is not needed.
