What's great about it: Ease of use, wifi, GPS, Apps, etc
What's not so great: No NFC
Got one for me and the wife for Christmas and have no complaints! Started right up, quick, and easy to set up. Display is fantastic. Much better than some of the no name brands out there selling for a few bucks less. Glad I spent a little extra. Wish it had the NFC like other Samsung products to transfer files but Samsung has a great app in the play store that allows you to transfer the files as well.
This product is... responsive touch screen, Good sound quality, easy to set up, Variety of apps available, A nice compact size, Sharp graphics, Easy to navigate, Great screen size, Comfortable to hold
About me... Budget Conscious, Parent with kids, Comfortable with technology
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Price, easy to use, portable
What's not so great: No NFC
Great little tablet for use at home. Missing some of the bells and whistles, such as NFC capability but for what I bought it for ... perfect. Have Samsung Galaxy S4 phone and this replaces the phone for most of the internet, daily tasks. Screen size is perfect, small, and portable ... couldn't ask for more.

What's great about it: Wall Mountable, Answering System, Caller ID
What's not so great: Display and Cord
Phone works and looks great. Just wish that they would send a longer cord (only 1') and that the display would light up, or at least be a little brighter. Very hard to read the 3 line display when dim and unlit.Overall good value for the price but minor flaws that should have been addressed at the design table.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Compact, Easy To Use
What's not so great: Copy Time
Nice small compact flash drive with large storage capacity. Have thousands of photo's and use the drive to store/transfer the files. Although it takes a little while to save the files, this product works like a champ!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does the rear camera have a zoom?

Yes ... just like all other Samsung products you zoom in/out with your fingers on the screen or the rocker buttons on the side.

Are there phone capibilities with this tablet?

Can this device function like a phone (galaxy s4)?
No phone on the tablet. You can import your files from the S4 though. Download the Smart Switch App from the play store on both (tablet and phone) and follow the onscreen instructions.

Does the Galaxy Tab 3 hav IR to enable it to be used as a remote control?

Yes it does ... use the "Peel" app or the Samsung "Watch On" app. Easy to set up.
