What's great about it: Nice look; good performance;
What's not so great: ice maker is messy and loud.
I bought this fridge to replace a top/bottom Frigidaire that I had for 11 years. My old Frigidaire stopped cooling properly so I figured it was time for a new one. I originally wasn't going to go with Frigidaire, but the other one I wanted was too big for my enclose and this Frigidaire was the only one in my price range that would fit.
What originally drew me to this unit was the color. I like the stainless steel look and is a nice upgrade to the bland white one I had before. Keep in mind the stainless steel look is only on the front and handles; the rest of unit is black. This doesn't bother me as my range and dishwasher also have the same color pattern.
I am really enjoying the extra space the side by side provides verses my old top/bottom unit, especially in the freezer. Even with the ice maker in the top of the freezer section, I still seem to have more space than before.
The water dispenser saves me money from not having to buy bottled water anymore and the ice maker eliminates the inconvenience of having to use ice trays.
I have had this unit for about 8 months now and so far no mechanical issues. However there are a couple of annoying things with this model.
First when dispensing ice, it is kind of messy when using crushed ice. When getting crushed ice, little ice particles spray out everywhere in addition to going in your glass. It can get quite messy and it happens every single time. Its not as bad as having to use a mop everytime, but small ice particles WILL get on the floor. In my case the ice shards are so small, that I usually just let them dry on their own after they hit the floor, or if I have a paper towel handy I just pick them up. Its a minor annoyance, but not a big deal for me.
Second when using it for crushed ice, it is obnoxiously loud. Getting crushed ice from this refrigerator is so loud that it completely drowns out the sound of the TV in the living area and completely distracts me when I'm trying to work on the computer at home. I absolutely hate that sound and it is extremely annoying. This is my biggest complaint about the refrigerator. While the sound of the refrigerator making ice is kind of loud, it is NOTHING compared to actually getting crushed ice out of it.
I got this refrigerator on sale for $999 so I think I got a good deal on it. If it weren't for the loud sound of getting crushed ice, I would have given it a higher rating. I wouldn't pay much more than I did for this fridge though.
Recommended only when its on sale.
This product has... An easy to change water filter, Produce enough ice to meet my needs, Consistent temperature throughout, Produce lasts longer, Lots of door storage
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Best Buy accepted my return and refunded my money
What's not so great: Does not include important adapter, short water line, overpriced
When I bought my dishwasher about a month ago, the best buy employee said I needed this kit to be able to install it properly. My dishwasher arrived earlier this week and after opening this kit and trying to use it to install my dishwasher, I discovered it was absolutely useless.
1. The water line cable, while nice, is not nearly long enough to connect to my plumbing. My existing water line is over 10 feet long because it goes up, across, and down again through my cabinets.
2. Even if it were long long enough, there is no adapter to connect the water line to the pipe under my sink. The claim that this kit "has everything you need" to install your dishwasher is completely false.
3. The power plug is useless and unneeded, my dishwasher is hardwired and does not use a power outlet so I have no need for the plug
4. If you are replacing a newer dishwasher, you probably don't even need this kit, just use your existing connections, don't fall for the claim that not getting this kit will void your warranty.
5. Overpriced; for what you get, its cheaper to buy what you need separately; which is what I ended up doing.
After installing my dishwasher using materials I bought separately, I just returned this kit to Best Buy and got my money refunded. I'm glad they accepted my return, otherwise I would be even more upset that I wasted my money on this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

How wide is this model? The width measurement is not included in the specifications online. Model: FFHS2322MS SKU: 3598928

its about 33 inches. My enclosure is about 35 inches wide, and I had plenty of space to fit this refrigerator in.
