I love this headset, it works great wireless on my PS4. I also use it on my X Box One, unfortunately it has to be a wired connection with the XB1 but it is still a great headset. If you have a controller with a 3.5mm jack it plugs right in, but if you have an older XB1 controller you will need the converter ($24.95). I would highly recommend this product for PS4 and especially if you have both systems.

If i buy a xbox one adapter can i plug a cord that comes with it to use it on my xbox one and ps4?
If you have a 3.5 mm cable, then it should work with no problem with the adapter. The newer XB1 controllers have a 3.5 mm input, so if you had one of those you wouldn't need the adapter.
