What's great about it: Size, range, touchpad feel
What's not so great: Could weigh more? Backlighting?
This is a perfect companion for a home theater PC. I have gone through several different keyboard/mouse configurations including those mini rii combos that are a mini version of this, but the range on those is terrible. Anyway, Ive been waiting for 5 years or so for a solid feeling sleek wireless keyboard/trackpad combo unit. This works great.. it feels nice, the touchpad is in a good location, 2 finger scrolling works. The only thing missing is backlighting on the keys, but Ill take the better battery life and call it good. Dont bother with keyyboard/trackpad apps for andoird/ios, or the mini Rii controller, its not worth the hassle.

What's great about it: quality prints
What's not so great: value
I installed this cartridge, did the test page print, black had some lines so I ran a clean cycle, then did another test print.. already down to 80% ink levels off 2 pages and a clean cycle.. I dont see how 275 pages is a realistic estimate on Kodak's end.

What's great about it: na
What's not so great: price for ink
In no time this cartridge will start having lines in your prints.. I feel that this cartridge has half the ink of most other printers I have owned in the past. Yes the price is low.. but it looks like an advertising game to me to entice people away from Kodak's low ink pricing.

What's great about it: XL
What's not so great: Price
When comparing this cartridge to other "XL" cartridges it doesnt have much ink. Most XLs from HP in the past held 3x the ink for 2x the price, however this one is 2x the ink and just under 2x the price. It isnt much for value. Also, it seems their definition of "XL" is comparable to Kodak and Canons regular sizes - probably an attempt to compete price wise with $10 and $15 kodak prices and canons larger amount of ink.

What's great about it: features, speed
What's not so great: nothing really..
If you dont care about overclocking this is a great processor. Quad core, fast speed, turbo boost... the only thing missing is hyper threading reserved for i7 processors. If you are considering an i3, just know this is twice the performance (quad vs. dual core) for I believe $50 more than most i3's.
Thermal paste is already on the cooler, so no need to buy extra or worry about using too much/little. This makes install easy. The cooler snaps right into place (dont turn the knobs as the arrows indicate unless you want to remove the processor).
It does heat up quickly on stock cooler.. a stress test brought mine upto 80C quickly but it stopped there... it quickly cooled down after. The cooler is quite silent.

What's great about it: bios post speed, price, features
What's not so great: operating system compatibility.
But this motherboard changed my opinion. Everything went together smooth, everything works as far as I can tell.
I am a bit mad that this board does not support windows server 2008 as it is based heavily on vista/win7 - there are a bunch of drivers that wont install and cannot be forced. I originally bought this for win7, but through my school I get server 2008 for free and since I built this desktop as a server I figured I would try it. This driver support has me worried for windows 8..
The bios posts quickly, cpu install was easy, everything was placed in smart easy to access places. Supports booting without keyboard/monitor attached (a must for a server).
USB 3.0 needs a program running apparently for the driver.. makes me think it isnt really going to be reliable (I noticed the ports dont work until windows is up and running so dont plug your keyboard into those)
There are a lot of new features packed in here, sata III, USB 3.0 - for the price you cant beat it. I have a second on order to build a gaming desktop for my brother.

What's great about it: Airflow, price, strength, looks, design
What's not so great: Only 1 fan included
I have built probably 7-8 of my own computers now and I have to say this is the best case I have every worked with.
1. Its black inside.. no ugly metal showing - this makes it much neater inside. See pics I attached.. image how ugly a plain metal backdrop would be that most cases have.
2. Cable management is so easy with this case.. its easy to route what I need behind and out of sight.
3. For the price, I was very surprised at how well the sides fit on and come off... some of them are such a pain to line up (my antec 900 for example can be quite a pain).
My only "complaint" is that only 1 fan is included, but I found a 4 pack of 120mm fans for $13 shipped on a "egg" site.. For this price 1 fan is fine, Im still saving a lot over some other cases out there.

I originally bought one pack, but after installing them with great results I ordered a second set... why not max it out for this price?? So, both packs passed memtest (my experience with memory is that a lot is defective right from the start). Enjoying my 16GB! Bios recognized it properly and set it to the correct speed/timings automatically.

For the price, this chip has great performance, it outperforms slightly older yet higher end at the time chips and supports some great features.
THIS IS A SOCKET LGA1155 processor, which isnt mentioned in the specs - kind of the most important specification. Make sure if you plan to use the integrated graphics on this chip that you choose a motherboard which can use it.

Is there a wireless internet connector available for either of these products? Prefer TV connector over Blu-ray due to equipment position.

Samsung Blu-ray disc player - Model BD-1500 - XAA (In closet behind a wall)
Samsung Television - Series 750 / Model LN52A750R1F ( open line of sight )
Samsung makes a wireless USB dongle for their blu-ray players (most of them). Other than that, you could try a "Powerline Network Adapter Kit" which usually run $60-100, the kit is 2 small boxes that plug into the wall and basically create a network through the power line in your home. So you can plug one in by the router and one in back of the TV, and they have ethernet plorts on the back which your Blu-Ray player has. From there, I hear new HDMI cables have ethernet built in, so if you get internet to the Bluray player the new cable can then transfer it to the TV as well.

What type of adapter would I need, for a laptop with Windows 7, to connect to the internet when away from my home network.

If you have a windowns 7 laptop, there is a near 100% chance your laptop has a wireless card built in, meaning you can connect to the internet from any place that has WIFI (hotels, airports, coffee places, libraries, college campuses, book stores, etc..). If you want internet EVERYWHERE you go with little to no exception, you will need a wireless boradband card which is sold through Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. These go through cell phone towers, and the service is nearly everywhere in the country. There is a monthyl fee of $40-60 for mobile broadband cards.

Is Tom-Tom or Garmin better than cell phones?

Is Tom-Tom and/or Garmin better than the GPS a cell phone provides? I am thinking of buying my husband one but we will also upgrade our phones early next year...
The GPS in cell phones is more of a pain than it is worth. There are fewer antennas connecting to the satelites which means they are less accurate than a real GPS system (I notice lag and disconnects all the time on my iphone 3GS), and also it drains the battery horribly fast and is inconvient when a phone call comes. Also, if you enter an area will slow or no data service on your cellphone your GPS becomes useless. The maps are preloaded on a GPS not on a cellphone.

I find the cell phone GPS useful for navigating by foot in the streets of large cities though.

Black ops upgrade?

If I preordered Black Ops standard edition can I upgrade to the hardened when I pickup my standard copy?
As far as I know you can upgrade if it is in stock, and usually they try and upsell it anyway to people who want it. Worst case scenario is you are out $5 for the preorder.

--> Any Point & Shoot Digital Camera for godo rock concerts? <---

So I go to concerts a lot and I want a type of camera that fits these requirements:
-Shoots clear and fast.
- Motion Still feature ( like when something moves, the camera capture the image still)
-Price range about $100-$200
A camera with those needs wont be found for a price range of $100-$200
I really think you will need a DSLR camera because nothing on the point and shoot market (which is the $100-$400 price range) now has a large enough aperture to capture the low light and movement at a concert.
I was going to recommend either a Canon Rebel because they do take HD video now which is awesome for concerts and it meets all your other needs except price. I also would recommend the Panasonic DMC-TS2 because it is a rugged camera that is small and takes HD video also with a good low light sensor (the catch being that camera doesn't have motion still or the ability to shoot super clear with low light.

The pics attached are from a concert taken with a Panasonic TS1. The older version of the TS2 attached.

? about focusing options?

I want a camera that will allow me to focus through a fence when taking photos of my kids playing sports without focusing on the fence itself.
You will likely need a camera with manual focusing to do this, which means a DSLR camera.

Other options I can think of would be the Panasonic cameras often have a setting that is quick to get to that has either macro (up close) or infinite focus, so it will always be looking far away instead of focusing on a nearby object.

If you are close to this fence, you could always choose a camera with a lens small enough to poke through the holes too.

I have a an 8GB San Disk Card that won't fit into my Epson picture mate printer. What kind of an adapter do I need?

I purchased a new Sony digital Camera from Best Buy and purchased the memory card . Memory seems to be a little short for my Epson Picture mate printer. I'm sure I need an adapter but I don't know what kind.
You might have to re-ask your question with more details. What kind of card is your 8GB San Disk? (thats the brand not type)

If it is SD it should fit no problem, if it is memory stick pro duo you will need a memory stick to SD adapter, which usually you have to buy a new memory card to get. It is possible the card you bought didnt come with an adapter because a lot of people are able to plug them into their computers. So, when you go to pick out another, just pick the cheapest card that includes the adapter.

Bestbuy.com sells the adapter, but I have never seen on in store. Ill attach it to this response.

Do they make adapters for older lenses to fit a newer camera?

I have an older Canon Vivitar AV-1 with various lenses and I just bought a new Canon Rebel XS Digital. Do they make an adapter to fit my Vivitar 75 - 205mm 1:3.8 closed focusing auto zoom lense to my rebel camera?
There are adapters available online but not through best buy. I would do a google search for what you need, example: "vivitar to canon adapter" I found a lot of them available ranging in the sub $20 range. Im sorry I cannot link to an outside site through this.

optical viewfinder

I am looking for a DC with screen plus optical viewfinder.
I looked through a lot on bestbuy.com and only found that the larger cameras have room for the viewfinder. Companies are making the LCD screens brighter and brighter to work better in high sunlight conditions and the space and technology to have a viewfinder is costly. I would just recommend going for whichever camera you like and if it doesn't happen to have a viewfinder, just get a good sized SD card and always take a couple shots at a time and one should come out good.
