 NETGEAR - RangeMax IEEE 802.11n USB - Wi-Fi Adapter - Black
NETGEAR - RangeMax IEEE 802.11n USB - Wi-Fi Adapter - Black
Wirelessly surf, email, stream HD video, on-line game, make Internet phone calls. Less interference and better connections using dual band Wireless-N. Better speed and range than other USB Wireless-N adapters. Easy and secure wireless connections. Works with older Wi-Fi as well as new Wireless-N networks.

Works flawlessly

What's great about it: High capacity, long range, quick connection
What's not so great: Not a thing
Has excellent range, even on the lowest setting. Set up a snap!
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Basic Wireless USB Adapter connects your laptop or desktop computer to your wireless network. When matched with a Belkin Basic Wireless Router (sold separately) at the center of your network, the Adapter's speeds are ideal for handling simple activities such as emailing and Web-surfing.

Will this work with a desktop with no wireless

Looking to get a Mobile hotspot to connect 1 laptop , 1 netbook, and a desktop with no wireless. Will this work fine for the desktop.
It makes your desktop wireless. You just need to make sure it communicates with your wireless network. Should be no problem. Just use the supplied disc to set it up. I love mine!

The wireless card is going out on my laptop. Is this a good option instead of a new laptop?

I already have a netgear wireless router hooked up to my modem.
It would work fine, except that it does have to be hooked up via USB. It will protrude from your port. But you should not have a problem if you disconnect each time you turn of your laptop. I would recommend using the supplied wire extension.
