What's great about it: Huge HD picture for small bucks!
What's not so great: Could use another HDMI input
Great value for the money. Quality is excellent. Sound is decent though if you're an audiophile and want better sound you'll have a soundbar or something to go with it. I would have liked an extra hdmi input (I have HD cable, bluray and Xbox) had to hook up Xbox with component cables. (Or can buy an HDMI splitter from amazon for like $10) Has a cool auto dimming feature which dims down the brightness when the room gets dark so as to not strain your eyes. I found this feature got a little too dim for my preference so I just turned it off. Also has cool iPhone app to act as an extra remote through your wifi connection. That's cool! Another cool feature is you can "swipe" photos or video from your phone right onto the tv screen!!! Really love this tv and if your thinking 65" is too big, it really isn't. I sit approximately 7-8 feet from the screen and it is not overpowering at all.

What's great about it: Load capacity, ease of use , load sensing.
What's not so great: Loads take a bit longer to wash
This is a fantastic washer for the money. Following the fill capacity for detergent, I now use half the detergent I was using and my loads are nearly double the size. I love the features and front controls. Very simple up operate as the machine goes through a load sensing sequence in the beginning of each load to determine how much is in there etc and sets itself accordingly or if you want special washing instruction it's just a push of the button. Some other reviewers complained about off balance loads but in 30+ loads since I got this machine, I have not had a single off balance. I suspect these people with this issue are just carrying their cloths basket to the washer and dumping the clothes straight in because there's no center spindle to get in the way. You still need to place clothes in there strategically so you don't wind up with all the jeans and sweatshirts on one side. That must just be operator error on those other reviewers. My clothes all come out clean and I am a construction worker so I come home with some DIRTY clothes. Not once have I noticed my clothes not being clean enough! I just use the proper cycle for extra dirty clothes. I do notice the washes take longer than they did in my old washer. Probably because the load sensor function in the begining of every wash takes a few minutes and possibly also because there is no center agitator to really mix up the clothes. Doesn't really bother me though because I put almost double the clothes in one load. So one load the takes 1hr 11min is still better than two loads that take 35+ minutes each (because I have to do it twice and because the dryer can't keep up with 35 minutes washes anyways so I would end up waiting on the dryer to get the second load drying.
All in all, this is a great washer at a very reasonable price. The controls are easy to use and love them on the front of the machine. Love the load sensor , the window to watch is neat too but more "cool looking" than functional. I think it would allow you to see where a load was out of balance during load sensing and give you the opportunity to fix it but like I said I've never had an out of balance load. I wouldn't pay extra for the glass door but since the machine comes with it at a cheap price I say it's cool!!!

how to do a simple wash
just reg jeans and towels - what are short wash settings?
Simple wash? Just put your clothes and detergent in and hit play. Literally the start button is the triangle "play" symbol found on any CD,DVD VCR etc. the machine will sense the weight and size of your load and figure out what cycle it needs to wash the best. It is so easy and I've NEVER folded clothes and thought "oh this is still dirty I better wash again"

king size 2" thick comforter
Is the washing machine and dryer compatible for the above?
I have a king size comforter and while I do not think its still 2" think (mine is older and lost some of its puff) I do think the washer would handle it. There's a cycle for " heavy bedding" or something like that. I do notice that the comforter tends to ball up in the dryer and doesn't quite get the inside of the ball fully dry. I just pull it out and adjust it and dry again. I don't think any dryer is gonna fully dry that comforter in one shot but it still beats taking to the laundromat to use the industrial size machine!

Do we need a tray for this washer since we had it under older washer?
You do not NEED a tray for any washer (unless its mandated in your apartment building or something) a tray is just insurance incase the machine leaks. So you just need to weigh out whether the cost of a tray is more than the threat of a leak. If your looking at a brand new machine the likelihood of a leak is very low unless you get a defective machine from the factory. (I havent heard sny reviews about this unit having defectice parts)Also if your machine is on a second floor and and a leak would damage rooms below that's a factor to consider. (My machine is in the basement and a leak would wreck anything)
