I've had too many bands. The customer service is great at jawbone but I should never have to resolve the product 4 times within a year. The app is great, accuracy good too, but structurally it doesn't last.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

How well does this stay on your wrist since I do not see a clip?

Stays great unless you are wearing a shirt tight around the wrist. When you go to pull it off it can twist the band or pull it off.

I wouldn't just to be safe.
