These remotes are sooooo amazing. Configured this remote to work with our newly installed system. Ultimately i have the devices like the receiver, blu-ray, western digital live, and all other devices behind closed doors and hooked up to a RF repeater. So in the wall right below the Vizio tv I also got from BestBuy is the RF sensor, and surprisingly well enough this remote works all the devices perfectly. Once you have everything configured properly, then its soooo simple to get you system to do all the right things like getting the right input and turning off the cable box when you really just want to watch something online. Its a proven fact that these remotes are the best (bias i agree but still...) . Buy one of these remotes and never have to worry about having to switch remote function to turn up volume or look for another remote. SO happy with them that I bought one for me, my parents, and a lesser model for a second tv! will buy again if needed!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Samsung Smart TV Owners...
I got this today, and figured out how to make Activity Button "Watch a Movie" bring up the Smart Hub, everything was fine, it brought it up, I could select Netflix, play, pause, fast forward etc.
So not knowing to leave well enough alone, I wanted also the DirecTV DVR to be controlled by this remote and put it on Watch TV. Not sure it did anything, no channel changes worked even though some diagram I found said the buttons were programmed for the DVR.
Bottom line, now none of it works. I guess I will deleted both devices and start totally over. I am very confused.
Should I be able to have Smart Hub come up using an activity button and input "Smart Hub" as it is written on the choices for input, AND when watchnig TV have Menu be directtv menu, info be dirrect tv, channel numbers, channel up and down etc all be for direct tv?
Any clues, screen prints would be nice. Ironically I am retired computer tech and programmer LOL, though at 67 my brain may be on its way out. But this thing has me baffled right now. :)

Hey Joe,
The Logitech harmony 650 can be programmed by learning certain functions of your factory remotes that came with your devices, but in actuality the software that comes from Logitech (see instruction manual) is 1000 Times better for setting up your devices and "activities". Once you have model numbers and such written down and programmed into the remote it will work anything that receives a RF based signal. again refer to your manual.

Yup that device is supported by this remote, and even if its not, the Logitech Harmony 650 has a learn feature built in. Just a few click on your factory remote and bam its learned your devices functions.

Will it control my pc hooked to a tv from another room?
If I were to connect my PC to my HDTV by HDMI cable (they are 2 rooms away from each other), would this remote let me control the pc from that distance? There are several walls and no direct line of sight between the tv & pc. I would need to run about 40 ft of HDMI cable between those rooms. I simply want to view videos that are on my pc, but on my tv in the other room. I just have no way of controlling the pc from that room.
not in the method you suggested. this remote controls devices that have an RF signal receiver on them. simply connecting a HDMI cord to your TV wouldn't guarantee playback.
