What's great about it: Crisp, clear picture, easy to use Smart TV.
What's not so great: Maybe needs few more connections, but for the money it's great.
The picture is very clear and crisp, putting the stand on however was a bit of a challenge. You need to have a long Philips screw driver to make the screws fit into it. I purchased this on sale for $469. I then exchanged it for the 5500 model because it went on sale for $479, and it is well worth the small $10 dollar upgrade. The 5500 model has more connections, although both have ethernet ports, and the 5500 model weighs less, looks more discrete, has a swivel stand, and includes a universal remote versus the standard that comes with the 5300 model. The universal remote has quick button access to Netflix and Amazon while the standard does not, and also includes a night glow button. The universal remote syncs with your cable box quickly revealing different viewing options of all the shows playing with the cable guide-shows what's on and how long some of the shows have left before ending. Both models have equally great picture, though I adjusted my settings a bit, lowering brightness, changing the red and green, it gave it an even better crisp picture. Both models are edge lit LED screens meaning that it balances light more to the center of the screen versus a backlit screen which is equally distributing the brightness throughout the screen. Edge lit is supposedly more efficient and eco friendly. Ask a sales associate to describe the differences, to me there really isn't much in viewing, close to the same. The 5300 does not have an eco sensor built in to it as does the 5500, so it won't automatically adjust brightness for you when viewing in different room lit settings, you'll have to adjust it yourself. I don't think it has an ARC HDMI outlet, so I'm not sure that you'll be able to connect a sound bar, check with a sales associate about that. The sound is decent enough for television speakers, not that bad, pretty good. If this 5300 model is on sale and the 5500 is not, purchase it, it's still a great television beating out most of the other brands even without the other toots and whistles. The internet connection works very efficiently, but if you are looking for tons and tons of apps to utilize, it's not a Roku. I mainly just use Netflix, and for me that worked pretty good, it's not fast signing on, but I was streaming Dr. Who just fine :)

What's great about it: Very engaging plot, characters, acting, and cinematography.
What's not so great: Not much; it's really quite great.
By far one of the most strange, peculiar and absolutely dazzling science fiction series ever put on television. The plot is extremely unique, the acting is superb, effects amazingly impressive. It's a creative, action packed, odd psychological thriller. It takes the audience on an imaginative journey full of romance, passion, and humor. It's light hearted, yet also very intense. It takes viewers through heart stopping twists and turns, frothing full of drama. It's touching, and the characters are brilliant, easy to connect with and relate. You'll want to watch it more than one time through. It's truly a magnificent work of art, poetic, realistic.
