I bought this for my parents, as they were replacing an old Q6600 from Dell. For the price and the hardware, this is a phenomenal deal and is a nice, small little computer.
BUT. The specs on the website are WRONG. There is only one HDMI port. That's a major faux pas, so I'm knocking 2 stars off, as it necessitated a long series of looking for and buying an adapter in my area from VGA to DVI. Not cool.

I bought this organizer for my new Surface 3 (NOT Surface Pro 3), and it's nearly perfect. The fabric it is made of is very durable and strong, like a heavy denim, and the snaps are heavy duty.
There is not a huge amount of space inside, and I would have liked the hinge to allow a bit more expansion, but it easily holds a few pens, both of my cell phones (iphone 6+ and a Nexus 5), business cards, some small cables and a small notepad.
The pen loop is also a great place to store the Microsoft Surface Pen, though it seems to fall out with hard jostling (I have found it in the bottom of my backpack several times).
I highly recommend it.
BONUS: Each Knomo product has a unique identifier on the inside, which you can register with them and has a "call if found" tag with the number. Neat, simple and welcome customer-service touch from Knomo.

What's great about it: Size, weight, sound quality, NFC, battery life
What's not so great: Carrying case, controls
I use these daily as my commuting headphones. Because they are not very big, fold flat, and have great battery life, I can grab them off the counter and go, with no worries. The NFC is particularly awesome, since I can just tap my phone (Nexus 5) to the earpiece while wearing them, and they auto-connect over bluetooth, with no configuration or pairing instructions.
The sound is surprisingly good. Very neutral and not bass heavy, BUT beware that you will notice the difference between low-quality streaming audio and mp3s stored locally. The high quality local storage will sound MUCH fuller and richer, with significantly more depth. That is, the headphones are good enough that it makes your bad audio source noticeable.
That said, the headphones are very comfortable, and are understated: no shiny colored plastic and obnoxious logos here. Just a professional headset. Works with phone calls and other bluetooth audio functions for phones as well.
There are 2 drawbacks:
1- the controls on the headphones are not well done. The back/pause/forward control is a sliding knob that has too little resistance. So, when I am feeling for it, I often find myself accidentally skipping to the next or previous track.
2- The carrying case is a thoroughly mediocre nylon bag made of fake ballistic nylon, like a backpack. Most headphones in this price range come with a hard-sided case, and it's disappointing to have it lacking here.
Overall, for the price these are superior headphones to your Beats/Sol Republic/Skullcandy headphones, in a more professional appearance, and with some extra features for ease of use.
VERY happy with my purchase.
This product has... Perfect fit, nfc connectivity, comfortable fit, great sound

What's great about it: Price?
What's not so great: Newer version of Android
Let's get the good out of the way. It's cheap, has a micro SD card slot, and has a new version of Android.
But that's it.
See, i bought this tablet to use for 2 things: as a picture frame, and as a music player. It could accomplish neither. Despite having an industrial wifi router 4-5 feet away, it could not maintain an internet connection sufficient to play music. It doesn't matter the service, Xbox music, pandora, spotify etc.
Second, as a photo frame, it was worse. There are plenty of apps out there, including the stock photos app that can do a slide show, but leaving it on for more than an hour or so crashes the ENTIRE tablet. I went through TWO that eventually hard-locked/bricked before I got a refund.
To continue, the tablet is slow, so transitions were bad. The screen has about a 10 degree viewing angle, so no matter where you are looking at the tablet, anything near the sides of the screen are distorted and unviewable.
WHile cheap, this isn't worth free. PASS!
This product is... nothing

What's great about it: Screen, size, weight, price
What's not so great: Speed, speakers
Bottom line, if you are buying a laptop this cheap, check your expectations at the door. With laptops, there are three major aspects: price, size/build quality and speed. You are limited to two.
This acer opts for build quality and price. The screen is fantastic for this price range: it has excellent blacks, vibrant colors and has touch functionality (if you value that). The keyboard is firm and does not flex like on many cheap laptops. The keys are somewhat shallow, but are perfectly usable for serious typing. The chassis itself is solid and does not bend or creak. The hinge is also firm, and the screen does not wobble or bend back when you touch it. It has USB3.0 as well as an SD card slot. Wireless N as well.
The system is also tiny. It's not as thin as some ultrabooks (though they start at prices more than twice that of this Acer) but without a disk drive, this little guy is svelte at worst. Also, the 11" screen and lack of huge bezels means the laptop is VERY portable.
The BIG surprise was the touchpad. MANY windows touchpads are flaky at best, but the Synaptics touchpad on this Acer is rock solid. Clicks are firm but not difficult, and two-finger gestures and windows gestures register reliably and smoothly. There are also a good deal of options to be had in the Synaptics settings. I usually HATE touchpads, but I could see myself using this laptop sans-mouse on a regular basis.
BUT... the AMD A4-1250 onboard is anemic at best. It is technically a dual core, but clocks at 1ghz. Just running a web browser with a few windows (no video) often pegs CPU usage at 100%. Upgrading to Windows 8.1 took hours.
This is a machine for the BASICS. No gaming. No serious photo editing. No 1080p multimedia (though it lacks a video-out and is only 1366X768, so that's not really possible). For what it's worth, grab a pair of headphones, because the speakers are pretty bad.
All that said, if you need a second laptop (like I did), or just need a word processor and internet access machine for travel, there are few better options given the price point.
This product is... A touch pad that works great, poor sound quality, A nice compact size, great screen quality, great touchpad, not very fast

What's great about it: Size, Design, feel
What's not so great: WIndows 8: Buggy inconsistent mess
I installed this pad on a Windows 8 Samsung laptop (Core i7, 8gb ram, 500gb SSD). It has a fantastic feel, great weight and wireless.
BUT, it just doesn't work. In Photoshop, the pad recognizes your finger but not the stylus. The stylus clicks lag and worst of all, there are no windows drivers on Wacom's website to fix these problems, or at least address them. In 2013, that is inexcusable. I'm returning it tomorrow.
Maybe give it a shot if you have OSX, since there are separate drivers for Macs. Otherwise, stay away!

What's great about it: Picture quality, ease of install, fresh mountain grown aroma
What's not so great: The color does not match my Dynex or vizio products that are all black.
My new home theater system was working, BUTsomething was not right. In talking to some people here on some bulletin boards, I found out it was my video cables. So I went out and this AudioQuest Coffee 6.6' HDMI Cable - Brown/Black was recommended to me. Thank you, world wide web!
Now, I will admit that the name, AudioQuest Coffee made me think that this is the Starbucks, Premium, version of HDMI cables, but after plugging it in to my 42" plasma, I DID see a HUGE difference. When I got the TV, I did not think there was a big difference going to SD TV to 720p HD TV. The cables make ALL the difference. PLUS, I cannot help but show off my AudioQuest Coffee 6.6' HDMI Cable - Brown/Black when people comment on my picture.
I never did get any hint of coffee aroma from the cables, however, and the odd brownish red color does not match my components, but that's a minor issue.
Do yourself a favor, skip the Monster branded cheap cables that stories say do as well as a coat hanger. Get the AudioQuest Coffee 6.6' HDMI Cable - Brown/Black. It's Simply the BEST.

What's great about it: Simple, durable.
What's not so great: Boring, not enough storage, no spot for a/c cable.
It's a nice basic sleeve. Nothing really special. However it is made of very durable material, which is very surprising at this price point. It will be a nice over-the-shoulder sleeve, but if you are doing any real traveling, it does not afford enough protection, and will need to be put in another bag, like a backpack.

What's great about it: Cool running, VERY low power consumption, plenty of ports/headers
What's not so great: NO HD playback capability, no wireless/bluetooth built in, ~noisy fan
This is a great little board/cpu for a nice home-brew nettop/HTPC/server. I used this with a WD GreenPower 1tb HDD, and my brother uses it as a low-power media server and home theater PC. Threw 2 gb of ram in it and it web surfs well, plays music and movies just fine, but be warned, ANY HD content of ANY kind is really not a great prospect. This includes HD feeds from Hulu, Youtube etc, and 1080p is impossible, for the most part. Unless you like HD slideshows.
Also, do some sarching, the fan on it is rather rattly, and hard to find an exact replacement for. Scythe makes a perfect one for ~$10.
For what it costs and for what it was designed, it's great: Internet, basic media and storage.
PS: Windows 7 and Windows Vista run GREAT on it.

Not sure about the actual pixel count (I believe it is 3.0 mp), but having used it for Skype, it is sufficient. Won't win any awards, but it works well and is clear enough.

 Dynex™ - 400-Watt ATX CPU Power Supply - White
Dynex™ - 400-Watt ATX CPU Power Supply - White
Keep your important computer components running with this 400-watt ATX power supply that features a 6-pin PCI Express connector.

What's the maximum amps available on the +12 V rail?

I've been thinking about purchasing a GTX 750 Ti video card. It requires a minimum of 20 amps on a +12 V rail would this power supply be sufficient to run it?
It depends on the rest of the system. The Dynex 400w PSU, if you dissect it, is only rated for 250w continuous power. See this review:
http://www.hardocp.com/article/2008/05/13/getting_best_buy_on_power_supply/2#.U1kcY1VdXHo

If the rest of the system has anything more than basic components, then the answer might be no. Best Buy carries a Thermaltake 430w PSU that would be better, and is only $5 more:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/430w-tr2-atx-power-supply/9827301.p?id=1218179698427&skuId=9827301&st=categoryid$abcat0507009&cp=1&lp=3

Alternatively, you could go for the Corsair taht is only a little more and is a really great PSU in terms of quality:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/cx-series-modular-cx750m-750w-atx-power-supply/8324202.p?id=1218872214205&skuId=8324202&st=categoryid$abcat0507009&cp=1&lp=1
It will also allow further upgrades down the line, and would easily go into your next system.

What is faster and what should I get, L2 or L3 cache?

This is confusing me I need enlightenment.
Doesn't really matte.r The clock-speed of the cpu is FAR more important. If the clock speed is the same, and the only difference is the cache amounts, the extra cache can give you better performance in multi-media en/decoding, but in most applications the difference is negligible.

No. You cannot use a 'wireless' printer without an existing wireless network in the area.

Cases for external DVD drives

I'm trying to find a travel case for my external DVD drive. I don't always carry it with my netbook, but I'd rather not have it floating around when I do. I can't find any cases for them on the website. Any suggestions?
Get a small netbook sleeve! I use one for my Wacom Tablet, and it's slim enough to not take up too much room. It might slide around a bit in the sleeve, but it works as good protection. Also, if you can find a sleeve for a CD walkman, that would work perfectly.
