The Elite 800 is incredibly advanced and supports a number of platforms. The manual comes with instructions on how to use it on Xbox One and PC if you want your sizable investment to work on more than just Playstation platforms.
In general this is a very good product. I'm hoping firmware updates make it better. The Android app is a great idea and has very good features though the Bluetooth data connection breaks frequently for me requiring me to restart the app. Bluetooth voice connection for calls is solid.
My biggest gripe with the headset is that there is a significant amount of background white noise or "hiss" when the headphones are on. I was disappointed with the level of noise in the Astro A50's but these are even worse. You can even hear the hiss added onto the built-in voice prompts. On the plus side you can run these unpowered with an analog cable and the noise is eliminated. You lose surround and noise cancellation in passive mode though.
The comfort level is much better than A50's. The sound stage is decent and the separation is average. The built-in amp has a decent amount of power and bass is well represented. Hopefully an equalizer is introduced at some point. The available presets aren't bad for most things but none of them really represent a flat curve.
Overall the feature set is amazing but if you're sensitive to background white noise then look elsewhere.
I would recommend this to a friend!

does this work on the pc flawlessly?

Wondering as I had bought ear force tangos from turtle beach late last year and despite them saying it would work it was plagued with issues.
It works well on PC if you have an optical output on your PC sound card. You can also pair it with your PC's Bluetooth if available using A2DP. Lastly you could use the analog 3.5mm headphone cable included.

PC support works universally in stereo. If you want surround sound your sound card has to include Dolby Digital Live support. For whatever reason the surround decoder only supports DDL and not DTS even though these include DTS technology. The User's Guide on Turtlebeach's website includes details on how to set this up with a PC.
