What's great about it: Flip feature, digitizer, touchscreen, display, USB 3.0
What's not so great: Can be time consuming to update, no 10-keypad
I purchased two of these laptops during a sale, which the priced helped solidify the choice between this and the Acer R7. The notebook needs to be updated. Prior to updating; I had terrible wi-fi connectivity, which was partly to blame that I had a dying Wi-fi router which I have since replaced and have not had any further wi-fi problems that others have complained about. I also followed another reviews steps/instructions for updating the laptop:
Run Vaio Update
Run Windows Update
Go to Windows Store and upgrade to Windows 8.1
Run Vaio update again
Go to Sony's website and download the touchscreen drivers as they are not included in the Vaio update for some reason - this eliminated the touchscreen issues others have complained about in their reviews for both of my machines.
Run Windows Update
I then added another step of going to the Sony website again as I was still having issues with my wifi connectivity and manually downloaded the latest wireless card drivers and after replacing my dead wifi router, and doing this all my wifi connectivity issues were fully resolved and I have great connection speeds that were verified with speedtests from third party software.
I also disabled the active auto-adjusting brightness on the notebooks as it seemed to adjust too much for my personal liking and my wife's.
The convenience score in my rating was a 3 out of 5 because of the 4+ hours of updating that had to be done, but was anticipated based on information from other reviews, the main chunk of time was upgrading to Windows 8.1. I'm very happy with this purchase overall so far. I'm fairly comfortable with Windows 8/8.1 - the 8.1 is highly recommended as it seems to increase the speed and efficiency of the system.
It seems Sony has produced the fixes necessary to make this machine run effectively as long as the user takes the needed time to properly update the machine, the poor reviews may stop if purchasers give it a chance like I did.
The digitizer pen is a great add-on accessory and is great for handwritten notes during meetings and classes during grad school.
The only other thing I would have liked is a 10-keypad, but that would have added a lot of extra size and bulk.

is there any pink one i can get?

They only make them in Silver and Black, but a quick websearch found several "skins" that are available for this model that can alter the color.
