So I read lots of good reviews and a read a few bad reviews. If I would have written my review within the first week, I would have given the products 5 stars for sure. I loved that both units played movies independently.
I was a little annoyed that the PLAY button was so small, but I could live with it. I could even live with the fact that sometimes the units skipped on BRAND NEW DVDs.
However, a month into ownership, one of the units stopped playing movies. By the third month, the 2nd unit stopped powering up all together. If not for the Geek Squad warranty, I would be incredibly upset. I have owned Philips products before, but this unit is poorly built. Not recommended.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: The performances/music and cameos.
What's not so great: A bit much skin for such a great comedy
This movie is a mix of the types of films like Old School and American Pie. It has some crude humor, language and a bit of skin in the film. So parents beware. Once you can accept the movie for what it is, you'll find this is one of the funniest and creatively written flicks you've ever seen. Has tons of cameo's by actors familiar in so many other comedies. It's a story of the life of a rising musician and the drama of ups and downs of stardome. You will see other rock artists like Elvis, Buddy Holly and the Beattles played by familiar actors. All performed well. Loved it!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

how close do the screens need to be? Can one be used in second row and the other in third row? (van)

The video connection is 5 feet, so it should reach. But there might not be enough length to tuck it out of the way, but it would be functional.
