LifeProof - frē Case for Apple® iPhone® SE, 5s and 5 - White

What's great about it: Really feels like it protects the phone!
What's not so great: Awkward to hold; sound is sometimes distorted
Overall I'm fairly satisfied with the case, but there are some 'flaws' I wish were better.
Pros:
- It definitely feels like it protects the phone from drops, water, dust, etc, as advertised. Once clipped on it went on snug and tight. There is a slight bump/separation/raised part by the front camera which is slightly unnerving, but it doesn't appear to affect the function of the camera yet as I've seen.
- The design is attractive for something so protective, so I appreciate that aspect. Some of the other cases in this category (otter box, etc) are really bulky seeming. Probably tougher, but really, who is throwing their phone under a car.
Cons:
- Even though it's minimal for an overall protective case, there is an odd shape to the design that makes it feel awkwardly 'big' in your hands. The outer edge is beveled/raised. I hadn't noticed it when I first tried the phone, but after a day of use and typing messages / using the phone with one hand, noticed the strain. With 2 hands, no problem. 1 medium sized hand, not ideal.
- Occasionally noticed some sound distortion from the speaker during a phone call. It's not consistent yet, so only pointing out for now as a possible concern to pay attention for.

I've not tested this thing submerged in water yet, but I'm sure my toddler will for me soon.

What's great about it: Size and ease of use

Still the best overall mobile phone on the market, imho, though admittedly the competitors have really improved in the next year, so Apple better step it up for the next generation.
Battery life improved over my previous 4S. Still could be better.
Camera is awesome.
Operating system is smooth and seamless. Playing with competitors still seems clunky, but rivals are closer than ever.
Some limitations on capability are driven more by Apple's control over the OS, but jailbreaking opens it up to ideal.
A big comparison my friends draw is the screen size - maybe this is just for me, but the larger phones are just too Big. I don't want to hold a mini tablet by my ear when talking - I still want it to be a phone and fit in my pocket well - and this suits great.
All in all, I'm satisfied.

does it cover the finger print scanner on the i phone 5s?
Yes the Lifeproof case covers the fingerprint scanner home button with a thin clear film. It works with the case on, but it's recommended to set it up before you install the case.
