What's great about it: It's easy to set up and use right out of the box. The sound is incredible.
The sound is crystal clear. You can easily hear and understand the spoken dialogue. Music sounds so much better through the Bose Solo. All ranges from high to low have a wonderful, rich tone. This unit replaced a home theater system with only one piece! It's the best sound for the money anywhere.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Need exact size
What are te exact dimensions of the unit?
The measurements I took of my own Solo are 21" by 12". The manual says it is 20" by 10-1/4".

Using the TV remote to control the volume
If I use the remote on my TV to turn up the sound, will that turn up the sound on the Bose? Or do I need to use the remote with the Bose unit?
If you program your TV remote with the Bose code you can use the same remote. I haven't done that yet, so I am still using both remotes. I would have to program the Bose as an auxiliary device and keep switching from auxiliary to cable and back, so I find it quicker and easier to use both remotes.

Direct TV remote
Will this system work with my Direct TV remote?
Yes it will, but you will need to find the code to enter. I believe you can find the code at the Bose website, or perhaps at the Direct TV website. You have to use one of the auxiliary setting on the Direct TV remote.

what other cables are needed to connect this unit to the tv?
I just bought a new tv and the speakers like all new TV's are not facing outward. So I needed a sound bar and since Bose is a good product I decided to get this. So what other cables do I did to get make this happen?
The Bose Solo comes with both the optical audio cable and the normal red/white stereo audio. My TV had the optical, so I chose to use that cable.

What is the maximum weight capacity of the Bose Solo Sound?
I have a Sharp Aquos, 42" (I think). Will the Boze Solo Sound tolerate this much weight?
I connected my Bose Solo to a 48" Sharp with no issues. The concern is the size of the base of the TV. The base of mine was the same size as the Solo, so it fit fine. You should not allow the base to hang over the edges of the Solo since it would make the TV unstable and it could fall. My Sharp fits and is not unstable, so perhaps yours will too. The Solo is 12" front to back and needs at least one more inch for the cables. It measures 21" across the front.

With the L/R coax, is it safe to say I can also use this with my CD player?
According to the salesman at Best Buy the answer is yes. He explained different ways for me to connect the Bose Solo to my system so I can use my other electronics with it. The manual for the Solo also contains instructions for several ways to connect the unit to your system.
