What's great about it: Everything! Beautiful display, excellent amount of storage, screaming fast, incredible sound
What's not so great: keyboard backlighting, finger print magnet
I'm a full time computer science college student and I'm a gamer. This laptop has handled anything I throw at it. The display is absolutely gorgeous!! Windows 8.1 huge improvement over windows 8. I've tried other Windows 8.1 laptops that had more memory than this one, but they did not run nearly as fast. The others I tried were Sony, HP and Samsung. All had 12GB or more of memory and ran much slower, froze, had crashes etc. My ONLY complaints about this laptop is since the keys are light silver, you cannot really see them well with the back-lighting unless you are looking straight down on them. At an angle, the back-lighting is useless, they should have made the keys a little darker so you can see them better. While the finish looks nice on the rest of the laptop, it is a fingerprint magnet and has to be wiped down frequently. That being said, I'd rather deal with the keys and finish not being what I'd like than have a different laptop that's more aesthetically pleasing but doesn't run as well.
I process photos and video, use photoshop, play WOW and Diablo 3 with it, and use it to do all my work for college. Handles it all with ease and speed. The sound is the best I've ever heard for a laptop. If you're in the market for a powerhouse laptop, this is the one to buy!

What's great about it: Nice bright vivid display, fast, light, Amazing sound!
What's not so great: keys a little hard to read, finger print magnet
I got this laptop about 3 weeks ago for a combination of my College work, and gaming. It came with Windows 8 and upgrade to 8.1. It downloaded updates pretty quickly, it does everything pretty quickly. Before this I tried a Sony and a Samsung laptops that had higher specs than this but ran WAY slower and both crashed regularly.
Not wild about the dark finish of the laptop, its a finger print magnet and needs to be wiped down frequently to look good. But that's aesthetics, what's most important to me is how the laptop runs.
Tthis Asus, works very fast, reliable, no crashes, everything is perfect. My only other complaint is with the keys being such light silver color, it's hard to see the lettering. I don't normally look when I'm typing anyway, but on occasion when you need to look to see the key you're using, it can be hard to see. Would have been better if the key was a darker color so you can see the back lighting through it better. Other than that I have no complaints with this computer so far. This is light enough and small enough to be transportable daily to college, and powerful enough to play games when I want to unwind. The sound quality is amazing! Never heard such good sound coming from a laptop before!!

This computer runs slower than my 5 year old Sony laptop!
I wanted to upgrade to a newer computer for college, this seemed like a great one given the specs. Unfortunately it runs slow, freezes up, wifi sucks, with in a week the wifi died completely, useless when I'm at school. Could not reliably write papers with it, because it would go bluescreen and crash for no reason, losing all my work. Took 10 HOURS to reformat this thing to take it back to the store. And that's just the beginning of things it does slowly! Don't waste your money! I bought an Asus now, with less specs than this one, but easily 5 times faster. Could not play games with it, Diablo 3 locked this thing up solid every time I tried to play it.

What's great about it: Absolutely nothing
What's not so great: Screen flickers, it freezes up, runs slow, no accessories available
What a huge waste of money this tablet is! Everything it does (IF it does them at all) are done at a slow snails pace. This repeatedly locks up and sits there doing absolutely nothing at all. And since there is no way to remove the battery to force a restart you have no choice but to sit and wait until it decides to get on with it and do what you asked of it.
You're much better off spending the money for an iPad than this piece of garbage. The ONLY thing that is good about it (if it worked right) is that it has multiple ports that an iPad does not have. But whats the use in them if the tablet doesn't work 85% of the time? I'm very very disappointed in Samsung with this device. I cannot imagine why this sells out everywhere, but I guarantee a lot of them get returned for the same reason I'm taking mine back. Definitely NOT worth the money!

What is the difference between this model and the Q550LF-BBI7T07?
It seems to me that both models are the same, so what makes the other model cost $40 less?
