What's not so great: Performance is ok -- but I didn't expect much with it's slower RPM rating.
The past several years I've only bought Seagate drives because of their warranty. But with their warranty period dwindling back to be the same as everyone else, I decided to give this Toshiba a try -- mainly because of the price. The only negative thing I can say about it is that the usb cable isn't a tight as I would like it to be, but it's fine. You just need to make sure you never try to pick it up by the cable. So having said that, you should have guessed that I tried it once and the drive hit the floor. Fortunately, it didn't have any effect on the drive. So for surviving a fall, I give it high marks and I'll probably buy another one when the Best Buy puts it on sale again.

Is this good for traveling abroad?
I'm a student traveling to Europe and was wondering if this is portable enough to be good abroad. I will be traveling there and staying for five months, before returning home.
This drive is pretty small. It's about the same width and length as a laptop hard drive, only a bit thicker.
