I got this router because my older existing router seemed to be causing problems. Even our phones seemed to be losing battery life for instance.
This router does not have all the bells a whistles but was the latest network technology (AC).
Setup was extremely easy and I simply entered my older SSID on 2.4 and key. It worked immediately.
and the phone batteries now last much longer and video on demand runs faster with little to no buffereing delays.

my nas worked immediately and as before.
An the down side it is not the fastest (400 400) but then my internet is only 25 also. the 5.0 ssid is the 2.4 with the .media extension. You can't setup vpn and whole bunches of stuff.
But to this user all the stuff can be confusing.
To the average user or beginner not having to make all those decisions just makes it easier to setup.
So for 1/3 the price you get all the performance you need or could use. Without being confused with a lot of decisions.
This product has... Fast connection, Secure connection, Easy to set up, Reliable connection, almost totally plug and lay
About me... Budget Conscious
I would recommend this to a friend!

will this router work with Comcast service?
I am forced to use Comcast in an area no one else covers. Comcast charges a rental fee for routers and I don't want to give them any more money than I have to. I am unfamiliar with the concept of purchasing my own router and do not know if every router works with every internet provider.
I got comcast for my son in law and they provided a combined router and modem.
I would check with them (or your bill) to see if you are paying a rental for the modem/router. If you are then ask them what modems/routers will work and price those out. Of course if you hve problems with your equipment it will be your fault. and when you have problems they will blame it on your equipment.
But you can check it out.
And any rate you can add exuipment if you have weak coverages in you house. WIFI bridges and power adapter type lans can be added.

Does this product also act as the modem?
To produce at home WiFi, will I also need a modem or does this unit act as a modem and a wireless router?
this unit is just a router. I connected it to a modem supplied by the phone/internet supplier

Wired connection not working
I bought the Belkin AC750 to replace the N600 - the AC750 wireless component works fine, but none of the 4 wired ports seem to want to connect to the internet (and thus I have to setup the router wireless as well). I have tried the turn off/turn on and matched the set-up items to the N600 that works wired - I took the first AC750 back thinking it was a bad unit, but the second one will not work either. I have been a Belkin supporter from the beginning of my computing, but getting ready to try a different brand if it cannot be solved. I need wired ports as well - the unit has them, why don't they work?
Sounds like the almost same exact situation I had except the wired ports worked.
I would try belkin customer support.
