Lifetime map updates?

I want to know ho it works the lifetime map updates, because when I finished the backup in my computer, I received an offer for a $69.99 1 year map update. Thanks!

LIFE TIME UPDATES I GOT WERE FREE FOR 4 TIMES PER YEAR. ANY MORE THAN THAT WOULD COST. I UPDATE MY TOM TOM EVERY 4 MONTHS AT NO CHARGE. THIS IS MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR MY TRAVELS!
