What's great about it: Cheap and one of the few available
What's not so great: Microphone, audio quality
When I purchased my first Rocketfish headset for the PS3, it was great. I used it for years with no problem. When I was looking for a replacement to the included earbud headset included with the PS4, I was happy to find an official headset for the PS4 made by Rocketfish.
When I took the item out of the box I noted the headband being an unusual shape for a head so it didn't fit comfortably. Rather or not this would "break in" to a normal shape remains to be seen. When connecting the headset I noticed no sound quality or volume change over the earbud, but the over the ear headphone is much more comfortable (on the ear that is, the odd shaped headband was not). However, when I attempted to use the microphone feature the PS4 showed the microphone as not connected. I contacted RocketFish support on their forums and was informed it may be a faulty headset and to return the item.
After trying my second one and receiving the same issue, I returned it and am actively seeking a different headset. Between the odd shaped headband, the low quality sound, the very short microphone that didn't work, and it being the same cost as the Turtle Beach P4c, I cannot in good faith recommend this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

How do I get this headset to work?

I been trying to use it on DCUO for PS4 and I can hear the people talking to me but when I talk back to the other players they cannot hear anything I am saying. It's like the mic is in mute. I even made sure it was turned ON
I had the same issue when attempting to use this headset. After contacting Rocketfish Support on their forums they determined that the mic showing as "not available" meant it was a faulty unit and I was instructed to return this item. Hope it's not too late for you!
