Over many years and several locations, this Clearstream 2v antenna is the best of the bunch. I've had expensive indoor antennas and traditional huge antennas. I never roof mount because of lighting issues (even with grounding), potential leaks and the unsightly appearance. I got this one from Best Buy at a decent price, less than I paid for other antennas. We had recently moved and are between 30-35 miles from the broadcast towers. I couldn't pick up much of anything with my Mohu leaf, even with a preamp. I mounted this one in the attic, on the floor with the included mount bar. I actually had it pointed in the wrong direction and it still picked up 30 channels! Need to sort that out but it's working great even without a preamp! This leads me to believe it is multi-directional even though it is intended to be medium directional.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Easy to set up and use
What's not so great: Fewer devices than my old 520 remote
I bought this 650 to replace my old 520 which I've had since 2004. The 520 was still working ok except several keys would no longer function. The old 520 would handle up to 12 devices! This 650 is limited to 5 devices, but the buttons are much easier to press and more reliable. It was easy to log into my Harmony acct and switch the remotes, bringing over all my devices to the new remote. Fortunately I had exactly 5 devices so the new 650 took all the info. I like the color screen of the 650 and the automatic screen turn-on when the remote is lifted. No complaints. I highly recommend this remote if you have 5 or fewer devices to connect.
I would recommend this to a friend!

is there a certain type of coax cable that needs to b used with this antenna?

Any R6 coax cable should work just fine.
