Got it for $30 in flash sale. I liked the phone a lot because it feel like a solid phone and it seemed to work very good. To my disappointment, AT&T only allow me to activate this phone with a minimum of $30 per month calling plan.. I was looking for a pay as your go type of no contact plan. I returned a phone, but should have kept it and had it unlocked.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Initially when I bought it, it was commercials free on YouTube. Now, it is so annoying with the long commercials on YouTube. You have to press the on screen skip button every single time or you're forced to watch the long 2 to 5 minutes commercials.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was able to connect my laptop, tablet, and cellphone to my chromecast. It worked good with apps like Youtube (no boring advertisements) and the Chrome browser, but basically that's it. I don't like to use other apps like Hulu, Netflix, HBO because I am not a subscriber. I wanted to be able to mirror everything on my laptop or tablet to the TV. Maybe I should have gotten a Miracast gadget instead.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have xfinity 1 platform, can i view xfinity tv on the googlechrome with the xfinity app?

No, it will not work. The chromecast does not work with Xfinity apps or any third party add-ons. Only approved Google apps like youtube, Netflix, etc. You will need to get something else for this kind of apps.

Not sure, but only high efficiency liquid detergent is recommended and so is liquid bleach. Powder detergent and other powder cleaning agents will not be effective, because high efficiency washers use a difference method to clean clothes. I would suggest that you do a research before making a purchase.

HDMI?

I don't understand . . . does this device plug into a HDMI port on the TV or some other port (such as USB)? Seems like the product specs would address such a fundamental question!

It only connects to your HDMI port on your TV. The chromecast is a wireless device works through your home wireless connection. It connects your laptop, tablet or smartphone to your TV. It allows you to broadcast the google's chrome brower or through other apps to your TV. The mirco-usb port is for power cord connection.

can I watch regular digital television channels if i buy chromecast?

Time Warner Cable wants me to buy the box to rent so i be able to watch what is like ABC, NBC, FOX, PBS, ETC. Ever since the regular channels became digital, they want people to buy a digital television in order to keep watching, but not too long ago, now no channels will display and I was or am thinking of buying chromecast if it allows me to watch these channels again apart from netflix. If this device don't do what i am asking for, should i just buy the one call rabbit tv usb stick?

I think you just need a good antenna for your digital TV. You don't need chromecast. Chromecast does not connect to any tv channels. It only "broadcast" your internet chrome browser to TV! Other things, you can do with chromecast is to allow you to watch Netflix, youtube, HBO, through apps from google playstore. All of these services require an internet connection and subscriber services-- extra fees!.

No, it does not work like that. "Chrome" + "Cast" = broadcast your chrome browser to TV. What you see in your Google Chrome browser on your laptop is what you see on TV! It does not work with any media players software on your laptop. But.......I think you could do it with third party apps (might not work with all O.S.), and it will cost you money and might not work that smoothly.

I think so, but you probably need to stream it through the google's internet chrome browser on your laptop only. The chromecast only supports the chrome browser (you have to install the google chromecast browser extension first) or other Google Play Store apps. It does not seem to support the tablet chrome browser version. You might be able to find a third party app that will work with your tablet, but it will cost you extra money and it might not work that good either.

Does the Chromecast work on 5Ghz band width WiFi?

I have one of those cable/wireless modems. The wireless doesn't work good at all so I disabled it and use my own Belkin N600 wireless modem. I run it at the 5Ghz band width instead of the standard 2.4Ghz band width. My wifi works all over my house now. Some devices (like my BlueRay player) don't see the 5Ghz band width. Does Chromecast work with the 5.0 Ghz bandwidth?

You can check if you wireless router works with the Chromecast or not by checking the support section in the google chromecast webpage. It shows a list of all compatible wireless routers. In most cases, if you can connect your laptops, tablets, or smartphone to your wireless network, then the chromecast should work too.

What is little pushbutton for at end of device?

It is not a push button. It's just the Chrome browser logo, it has no functionality whatsoever. The actual product is a lot smaller than the picture on the internet. It's about the size of a cigarette lighter, but shorter.

Can it work with PS3 or Xbox?

I don't think it will work because the chromecast requires the chromecast app or the google extension in the Chrome browser to work. Therefore, in order to steam videos or saved videos, you will need to install third party apps to make this function work (if you can find a good app that will work!). Remember, it works mostly with Google apps, Google software or Google recommended apps.
