What's great about it: 2 in 1, Tablet, keyboard, overall performance, flexibility
What's not so great: Switching between tablet and laptop isn't always seamless.
I am a very performance oriented power user and was skeptical of the "Intel Pentium" process that came with this device. I had to dig deep on Intel's website to even find mention of any current models. However, due to the price difference and overall comparable ancillary features and specs, I decided to give this device a try. When it was on sale there was over $150 difference to upgrade to an i3 so it was worth the risk.
I have to say, this was a pleasant surprise as you don't run into the same bottlenecks that you often find with value priced laptops in the sub-$500 range. The tablet to notebook function work very well overall and I do not find myself running into any slow downs or delays due to the CPU (This is after removing all of the typical bloatware, unnecessary stuff that comes pre-installed and Windows finishing the usual prolonged updates).
This works flawless in both the tablet function (for games like Hearthstone and applications) and laptop function for typical home use including Office.
I did not try any power hungry applications like PhotoShop or games of the latest generation but I tried World of Warcraft and it ran fine with middle of the road graphics and no lag.
If you want something for basic use kicking around the house than this should be a great value.
I do not think that you can upgrade things like the hard drive (which is bottom of the speed curve for a current drive) and the memory is soldered in so no upgrading their unless you really want to get your hands dirty.
This product is... Good sound quality, A touch pad that works great, A nice compact size, easy to set up

Can you downgrade to Windows 7?

Are you able to downgrade to Windows 7? I want to be able to play Sims 2 on it and I've heard there are compatibility issues with Windows 8.
You would have to have your own license but the specifications match Windows 7. I cannot speak for the tablet functionality and you may have to hunt down drivers.

does it play diablo 3?

looked on diablo website and blizzard says it can run on some intel hd graphics chips.
want to play while away from my desktop pc and stuck in hotel.
Diablo 3, Hearthstone (both laptop and tablet) and World of Warcraft work on this system with medium graphics and speed.
