Excellent addition to home theater

What's great about it: Easy to use, set up and tons of movies
What's not so great: Needs fairly fast internet connection; wish it had amazon prime
Bought this to complete home theater. Held off getting it for a while because of the limited use. The thing that sets this above other media boxes is the ease of use. You can go through the video offerings very quickly and there is never a problem navigating the site. The quantity of videos is large but most are priced at $3.99 or above. I use it to watch older videos that are not offered through amazon prime streaming. Have rented a few vids that are still in theaters( most of these are independent movies).
Most of the movies that I watch are on blu-ray and did not know if I would like the sound but am very satisfied with picture and sound. As a nice bonus can stream items in my itunes library seamlessly. Have it hooked up to my receiver then to my tv. Have only had a couple of times it did not want to work right. Unplugged and unhooked it and when plugged back in it worked great.
One thing you should consider when buying this is the speed of your internet connection. I have a very fast connection and it does not take long for videos to load and start playing ( at the most 3 minutes) but I have friends that have slower connections that take a lot longer. Mine is on wifi but if you do not have a strong signal where you put this you will have problems.
Really enjoy this and love using it.

What's great about it: airplay, apps for remote

I replaced a sony 820 receiver that was about 3 years old and still working great. Didn't want to spend the money for the 1040 but am very glad I did. There are so many more useful features that have been added to this receiver. The main problem I had with the 820 was the connections to the tv were not always great. Connecting my cable box to the receiver on the 820 resulted in a very sub par picture. I watch more blue rays than i do tv so it was not that big a deal but with the 1040 the picture is perfect. Also love the airplay feature it works flawlessly with my iMac, iPhone, and iPad. Set up was very easy and the remote apps for the phone and ipad are nice. If you are wondering wether it is worth it to upgrade to this receiver i can say very much so for me. Now that i have used it for a couple weeks i would have gladly paid more for it.
This product has... Plenty of power for all my needs, Interfaces well with TV, Easy to use controls, great back connectors

What's great about it: Cost; ease of installation; performance
Bought this for my iMac. It brought my total ram up to 12gb and only cost 40$ including shipping. Anyone who needs memory for there Imac should look into getting this. Great performance and it took less than 10 minutes to install.

What's great about it: Speed
What's not so great: Not as consistent as the usb adapter
Got this to work with the WRT300N. The set up was easy and it was installed and running in 30 minutes. I have had no problems with disconnecting. My speed ranges from 120mbps to 270mbps Over all works great and would reccomend for anyone with wireless N.

Will this receiver work with a cassette deck?
This receiver has plenty of av connections so you should have no problems hooking up a cassette deck.
