What's great about it: size, quick start, WiFi
What's not so great: setting up LG online smart feature
Even though we used this with direct -connect to internet, I really like the idea of WiFi. We upgraded from a older unit so we absolutely love the quick start on movies. Great features at a very good price.
This product has... Great DVD upconversion, Good connection options
About me... Budget Conscious, Avid movie watcher

I have an LG 42LA6408 Smart TV. Would Google TV device give me any advantage?

Whenever I want to watch something from Internet it takes ages to load it up. My internet speed is good 16Mb and I bought this TV 2 weeks ago. I even plugged the LAN cable into the TV in order to make it faster. If I buy Google TV would I have advantages and potentially faster speed?

Carval, You selected an excellent TV, but you should use the features of the LG Blu-Ray player and it's internet connection as a primary source into your TV. Keep in mind it is always easier (if not cheaper) to replace the DVD than it is to replace the TV. Smart TVs are nice, but look closer at using the features of the DVD player first.
