How is the build quality of the tablet ?
I have heard some people complain about the plastic back plate getting loose and also the fake metallic trim around the tablet getting chipped very quickly? Has anyone experienced this ?

Many people expect a tank for a phone or tablet and toss around, drop, spill, etc and blame manufacturer for their lack of care.
Trim is plastic so dropping or banging it will gouge or mark. The tablet is meant to be light. If made of metal it would be much heavier.

i heard that Samsung hangs terribly after using for 6 months is that true???
No. That would be from 'Operator error'. Also, hanging would be from software, not hardware. Software used is Android. You have to be careful about what you hear because MANY Android users root and install homemade Kernels & ROMs which can definitely cause problems.

Battery issues ?
A lot of the negative amazon reviews are about the battery. People complain about charging issues and the battery dying after a couple of months and needing to be replaced. Has anyone faced any charging problems ? Any battery issues at all ? I am looking for feedback about the battery, especially from those who have owned the tab pro 8.4 for more than 2 months. Thanks.
I highly recommend fully charging prior to use and draining it down to 10%. Then charge it fully before use again. Do this the first few times and you will maximize battery life. ONLY USE Samsung charge cord. You should never use cheap no name cords.
Draining issue's people are facing is because they do not go into the folders and turn off background objects from running at will. They also do not utilize POWERSAVING mode and Auto screen adjustment(brightness). Lastly, Live wallpapers and screensavers should be avoided.
I use my tablet for 3-4hrs every night and only have to charge once every few days.
