What's great about it: Easy to hook up
What's not so great: Nothing
Cable comes in to the house and splits to multiple units - modem and several televisions. This unit amplifies the signal so that it is actually stronger after the split than before. Digital TV sometimes went blotchy/stuttery before I got this. Since I installed this, pure picture all the time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: haven't found anything
Having finally entered the 21st century and gotten digital audio, I didn't want to lose anything along the way. This cable seems so much sturdier than the one that came with the audio system.

Does the amplifier provide 4db gain per each pole or is the gain split to all poles.

Difference between the RF-G1179 and the RF-G1178
I have a bunch of cable drops in my house and have been using the RF-G1178 and it's been great for boost throughout house. I've got one cable box that may need a little boost because all of the features are not available from the cable box. The RF-G1178 is discontinued. So, are these basically used for same thing? But the RF-G1179 will boost 4 things and not just one?
This unit has one input and four outputs, each with 4 dB gain. This is a splitter and booster in one.

Should this work with my Harman Kardon sound bar?
I can't get it to hook up to the sound bar?
Cable comes with caps to protect the ends - make sure you remove them. Also, one side of the connector is flat - make sure the cable end is properly rotated to match the flat on the sound bar input. You might need a flashlight to look closely at the input - there's a little flap over the input connector, but its shape is the same as the hole behind it.
