I highly recommend this product. I got it home and the set up was so easy. I ran the scan and got 90 channels. However, the picture was not good but it worked better on the Samsung TV circa 2005. The other TV is probably from the 90's. I got video but it was grainy. But you do need an antenna. I wonder if I bought a better antenna with an amplifier. But this product is good. They do recommend that you go to www.antennaweb.org to find out which antenna is best for you based on location.

How many Channels do you receive?
How many free channels will my HD T.V. receive?
It all depends how far you are from the broadcasting tower.

button layout on remote
Does anybody have any idea what the button on the bottom left of the remote does? When I push it, nothing happens and its unmarked. Also, how do you control the tv's power with the remote supplied with this box?
According to the instructions that button on the bottom left is not currently in use. That means that it was left non-operational on purpose. I don't think you can program this remote to control the TV. There were no instructions for programming the remote control.
