what changes do I make besides externa speakers on my 39" samsung tv in order to get sound on my insignia sound bar. I'm using a flashdrive with a movie on it. Sounds good when I'm only using the tv but the sound shuts off when I hook up the soundbar. Using rca cable for sound.
Maybe i need to switch to digital audio cable???

Check to make sure that the RCA cables on your TV are outputs. Most modern TV's have moved to a 3.5 mm aux cable being the audio out. RCA has become input only on most TV's. Moving to the digital audio cable would work too. You will also need to check the input on the soundbar to make sure it is set to the right input.

Connection Question

How can I connect an Emerson LTDN42V68US to my Insignia soundbar

I was unable to find any information on that TV. The soundbar has 3 different inputs. If the TV has a headphone/audio out connection, then that would probably be the easiest way to connect it. It would require a 3.5 mm aux cable to work. It also has the standard RCA inputs if the TV has RCA outs and a digital optical connection too.

It will depend on the audio out out options of the Grace digital tuner. The most likely connection will be the RCA connection. There are adapters to connect many different kind of cables to RCA cables if your tuner doesn't have CA.

Can this be interfaced to a device sold by Best Buy to wireless transmit Bluetooth signals to Bluetooth speakers?

There is no built-in functionality for this in the NSDXA2. However, you can use any Bluetooth transmitter that would accept the audio out signal the NSDXA2 outputs. A quick search of the Best Buy site found me a few products you could use together to accomplish your goal.

Directv Remote codes

I have a RC65 DirectV remote. I'm trying to program this soundbar to my AV2 mode button. None of the codes that Directv has reported or any of the info from Insignia has worked. DOES ANYONE KNOW THE CODE THAT WILL WORK??

If you have tried all DirecTV codes and any other codes to no avail, then you would have to do a manual search using your remote. See documentation for further instructions.

how is the captioning?

I had an older model sharp tv whose captioning was very good. now I have my mom's aoc flat panel whose captioning stinks. I understand that the captioning signal is sent out over the cable, but it seems to me that each tv handles the captioning in its own special way. I want to buy a tv which drops the captioning from one channel as you change to the next, like my sharp did. with the aoc, the captions linger a long time, especially when going to an uncaptioned network like metv. there, the captions from the previous channel stay in the center of the screen and eventually become gibberish signals. I can overcome this by turning the captioning on and off, but it's such a hassle (takes about 12 clicks on the remote). is the captioning on this tv easily changed, and does the captioning "behave" itself by not carrying over to the next channel?

I just tested this on one of our TV's. The captions took about one second for the captions to kick in on a new channel, but there were no remnants on a channel that had no captioning. This TV should suit your needs nicely.

voltage?

I live in Europe. Is this TV compatable for European voltage (220 volts)?

This TV is designed for North American Voltages. It would require an adapter to be used in Europe.

I need 2 internet ready tv's

I can not have cable in my building and need to buy 2 internet ready tv's. One 39 inch and a 32 inch.
