I see that is has steering wheel controls, and that I'd have to get an adaptor to use with my Mazda CX9. What controls will this allow? I'd like to get the basics like volume up/down, next station, next song. Anything else?

Two questions.. I have a usb in my center console that came with the car radio in my 2013 civic ex..will I be able to use this for CarPlay connection? Using my iPhone, will Spotify and Sirius XM app show up on Apple CarPlay for this radio?

No. That USB belong to the car. For CarPlay to work, you must run your phone to our cable. Spotify and SiriusXM are compatible CarPlay apps and will definitely show up for use

Will this fit my Honda Civic, 2012 4 door sedan, it has a navigator in there now that just stopped working.

The bluetooth pairing for audio only works when player app on phone is running and playing a song. Then it only allows control within the album and not out side unless album is swjtched on thw phone. Is there a fix?

This is normal for this model. Newer model doe have a magnifying glass to access phone music from radio.
