Does this device every require any updates? I am getting a message that the USB device is malfunctioning and am wondering hoe do I fix it.

I see that this will allow to connect multiple displays. Can it also work FROM a camera or more than one camera, INTO computer? Or does it go out only??

Is there any parasitic draw if it is not connected to a computer?

I wish to use in an office setting with a laptop and an Insignia monitor. Mainly for Excel and PowerPoint usage. How will it perform in that role?

Can I connect to an old DVD player with rca jacks to transmit to a tv with hdmi inputs
