Can I access Google Play Store to download apps such as Minecraft since my child is a bit older?

Google Play cannot be accessed from the LeapFrog Epic, however adults will have the ability to bypass the LeapFrog Epics safety features and download the Amazon App Store. Many popular apps are available in both app stores, and LeapFrog selected the Amazon App Store because of the smoother technical integration between this external storefront and the LeapFrog Epic.

I don't want to buy a tablet that my 4 and 5 years olds will outgrow in a year. What are the ages for this device?

The LeapFrog Epic is intended for children ages 3-8. It has the ability to grow with your child including granting access to an open web browser when ready and adults have the ability to bypass the LeapFrog Epic safety features and download the Amazon App Store. Since Amazon App Store is an external store, we are not able to review and test every app in this store to be child appropriate and compatible with Leapfrog Epic.

Yes, after set up the apps downloaded to LeapFrog Epic do not require WiFi. There are some apps available, like the Weather app or the LeapSearch browser that will require a connection.

App purchase can be used on up to 5 devices at once, while cartridge games can be played in only the device they are plugged into. If you plan to purchase multiple devices, purchasing apps would be a quick easy solution for you and your family.

LeapPad Ultra XDi includes 11 apps with your choice of one free app. There are also free games available through the LeapSearch app when connected to WiFi. All other apps and cartridges are sold separately.

You will want to ensure the sound switch for your device is in the "On" position. If the ringer is on silent the sound will not be available.

Can Leapfrog be used in Spanish or Do I have to buy a Spanish Edition?

There are no Spanish version LeapPad devices available, however they will be compatible with any Spanish titles available.
