Do you need to have the SiriusXM app on a device to pick stations and do the set up or does the sound station act independently and on its own without an app?
The Wi-Fi Sound Station is a complete system so you do not need any app to use the Wi-Fi Sound Station and it includes a remote control. All you need is a SiriusXM streaming subscription and you directly enter your streaming credentials (User Name and Password) on Sound Station. You can use the same streaming credentials on your cellphone as well as on our web-player on your PC and can keep them logged in at the same time but you can only use one player or sound station at a time so the newest user will stop the stream on the prior player.

Updating packaging image
If I have multiple of these units in my house but in different rooms all on the same channel, will the audio sync so it sounds like I have a whole house system?
Typically the audio will not sync. The songs will be the same but not in sync.

I’ve just received a new 2022 Ford Maverick XL and it does not have Sirius Radio hook-up. What is the cheapest way I can have Sirius radio without having to connect to my phone every time I get in the truck?
The best option is to install the Onyx EZR Radio with Vehicle Kit and use the 3.5mm Stereo Aux-input cable (included) to connect your Onyx EZR to your Maverick's Aux-Input.

How can I order a SIRIUSXM Portable Speaker Dock? Sirius told us we could order through Best Buy, we don’t need a subscription we just renewed. Thank you.

Does the Home Kit display the artist, song title, or other specific info, like the vehicle Sirius kit?
Yes, the Home kit supports all the same features as the car kit except FM modulation and how the home dock sits on a flat surface while the car kit is designed to be mounted to a car vent or sticky mounted to the dash. But keep in mind, the home kit does NOT include any radio. This SiriusXM - Satellite Radio Receiver Home Kit is a spare home kit for a Satellite radio that you already have for example so you can move your SiriusXM Satellite radio from your car to your home. If you don't already have a SiriusXM Satellite radio, you can purchase a radio with the home kit already included, or you can purchase a SiriusXM radio with a car kit already included and move that radio to the home by using this SiriusXM - Satellite Radio Receiver Home kit.

Don't know for sure if i need a new one. Do they become hard to keep connected after time?...Cant remedy "check antenna connection" message. any help appreciated
1) If you can move the the antenna plug to one side while connected and you get the check antenna connection message to go away, then you need a new antenna. 2) If you can place the dock securely on a table so the dock and antenna cable don't move, and then gently move the radio front to back in the dock and the check antenna connection message comes and goes then in this case the connector in the dock or in the radio is failing. There really isn't an easy way to determine which so if test 2 is happening then I would recommend a replacement radio and dock. Neither of these failures happen often but they do happen so contact customer care or send a DM to me at BT_dock_feedback@siriusxm.com and we can arrange a replacement.

FM transmitter does not work when connected to a Home Kit but works with a vehicle kit. Older Delphi XM radio did. What Happened.? This Onyx radio is inferior to the Delphi Product.
The design changed in 2009 and the XM FM Direct adapter Model XMFM1 was replaced with the FMDA25. On the old design the FM signal came out on the antenna port. But on the new design the FM signal came out of a seperate FM port on the dock. If you have an Onyx Plus with Home kit there is no FM port but the Home dock has a line audio output designed for a 3.5mm Audio cable with is included with the Onyx Plus with Home kit and this cable can connect directly to your home stereo system and provide a much clearer, higher fidelity and more reliable connection.

What about for HOME? Any home kits available?
SiriusXM has two home kits compatible with the Onyx Plus. SXDH3 and SXDH4.
