30 ft is about right but it really depends on what is in-between you and your source device. Walls are almost never an issue but bodies ( even your own ) tend to disrupt the Bluetooth signal.

Hey there! Tangle proof? I am not sure anything is really tangle proof! While flat cables are often attributed with less tangling properties I am afraid the INK'D are simple yet effective round cables.
