how do I soak my whites before wash????

I'v always soaked my whites before wash. Now I cant and have dingy whites??? makes washing awful after soaking in bucket.

Hello mystified. You may use powdered bleach in the Whirlpool washer. If using Oxi-type boosters, color-safe bleach, or fabric softener crystals, add to the bottom of the washer basket before adding clothes. You will not be able to use powdered bleach in the bleach dispenser.

Does this washer determine the water level using a sensor so that the water level rarely completely covers the clothes?

Hello curiousaboutwashing. When the START/Pause button is pressed, the washer
will fill to an initial water level and begin sensing to determine the load size. The newer washers will not fill like the older model washers. The washer will not fill to completely cover the clothing.

I have a whirpool washer duet model number 26 41845that i bought from Sears that needs to be replaced and I have a sears kenmore pedestal model # 8563589 that I bought with it 10 years ago.
