Hello Jim, if the Ice Maker is still receiving power to the unit you may hear the drain pump turn on if ice is melting and needing to drain.

My new whirlpool with extra rinse says washing n never says rinsing don't know if it's rinsing.I have the extra rinse digital code on but it seems it skips it. Do I unplug n hopefully it will reset? Timing jumps from 7 min rinse then reads end no rinse.
