The Fire TV features a microSD card slot, Ethernet port, and a USB port whereas the Fire TV stick plugs into the HDMI and uses wireless only. The Fire TV packs more powerful hardware in the form of a quad core, 2GB of RAM and a faster wireless standard whereas the Fire TV stick is a dual core with 1GB of RAM and 802.11n wireless. The Fire TV offers a better gaming experience as well due to more powerful hardware and more storage.
